Never give up, never surrender!
The best not Star Trek Star Trek film, where the washed up stars of an old TV show (the Galaxy Quest of the title) - think 1960s Star Trek - are mistaken for the real thing by actual aliens, and brought aboard their space ship (modelled after that from the TV show), in order to negotiate a ceasefire against their foe.

Worth watching for Alan Rickman's Dr Lazarus alone, never mind Sigourney Weaver or Tim Allen...

"First we have Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. That would be because of “Khaaaaaaaaaan!” “Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!” That’s number five."

STINO (Star Trek In Name Only)
This show opened with a mission to violate the Prime Directive, and just went downhill from there. If you want to see Star Trek, watch The Orville.

Spin-off from (jn my view) one of the weakest of the Star Trek series in "Star Trek: Discovery", with Michelle Yeoh reprising her role as the mirror universe Emperor Georgiou who was brought to 'this' universe during the earlier series of Discovery.

Unfortunately the film is muddied, both visually and thematically, with very little that is 'Star Trekky' about it.

A pity.

"The next one would be Star Trek IV, because it was the best Star Trek, and because I was in it. [laughs] Does it count as a plug if it was made a million years ago? I mean, it was the best Star Trek, so there you go. And it was about saving whales, which I would agree with, and it was the first time that they really let the characters get kind of funny and more relaxed, and I think that was a really good direction for them to go."

A perfect send up of Star Trek (2 more)
Extremely quotable
The whole cast are brilliant
A brilliant sci fi comedy
I initially slept on this, and didn't watch it for a really long time, and I'm so sorry I did! It's the perfect spoof of Star Trek, while also being it's own, brilliant story, which is surprisingly in-depth.

If you're a star trek fan, it's excellent... If you're a science fiction fan, it's also excellent. Basically, just watch it, and enjoy.

By Grabthar's Hammer you won't be disappointed. 😁
