A Classic Movie
This is one of my all time favourite films. I've probably watched this film 50+ times (not an exaggeration) and I would happily watch it today.

What I love about this films is not only has this got fantastic choreography and music, but a steamy love story too. I like how even though Patrick Swayze's character is a sexy cool bad boy, but there is also a sensitivity to him as well,

I also like that the main female character is pretty, but also has brains too.

I will never tire of this film and if you haven't watched this yet (where have you been?!), I'd definitely recommend it.

Spring is a feisty Scottish warrior woman and a refreshing change from the usual damsels in distress that permeate novels of this genre and period. However, once her father arranges her marriage to Shaw, laird of Edinvale Castle and her clan's sworn enemy, this young woman's life changes forever.

One of my favourite things about this story was Spring's character development. Throughout the story, she uncovers more and more of the truth and discovers what it truly means to belong along the way. Fun, romantic, and at times, steamy, this is a great starting point to delve into the world that author Elizabeth Rose has created.

Highland Spring is a quick, light read - perfect for keeping you busy on a rainy weekend!

Down to Earth
This delightfully entertaining story is that belonging to Liz and hockey player Tom AKA "Micky".

Tom checks off every item on Liz's fantasy man list, and Tom thinks that Liz is a very interesting woman. What follows is a humorous and steamy story of the development of a relationship, which will leave you laughing out loud and wanting more.

As their relationship develops, Tom becomes a bit of a donkey's behind, allowing jealousy and possessiveness to take the forefront. But their mutual friends helped them to see sense.

Liz is a witty and down to earth woman with a love of beer, ice hockey and Marvel... A friendly woman with no family, and amazing best friends.

Really enjoyed reading Kissing Micky.

3.5 stars

This was cute but I missed out on the details in some of the ice scenes. The dance moves so I could look them up, the plays in hockey so I could do the same. We had a few mentioned during practise but I missed the thrill of competition, the build up to a win. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the book.

The romance was sweet, a sort of not-spoken-despite-going-to-same-school-for-years to having to work together and slowly falling for each other. I liked it despite me being used to more steamy romances.

A great book if you like gentle, contemporary, young adult romances.
