What If?
What If?
2021 | Action, Animation, Comedy
Marvel's latest Disney Plus series, this is a departure from the previous (WandaVision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki) in that this is - in reality - an animated anthology series that re-visits earlier Marvel movies and posits the question 'Waht if ...?'

For example, What If ... Peggy Carter took the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers.
What if ... T'Challa became StarLord instead of Peter Quill
What if ... Ultron won

And so forth and so on.

Basically, the multiverse.

Due to its nature, some of the stories are better than others: for me by far the worse was the Zombie themed one, whilst a strong contender for the best would probably be the Waht if .. Thor was an only child? entry.

Your tastes may vary, of course!

Stranger Things - Season 3
Stranger Things - Season 3
2019 | Horror, Thriller
I'm starting to tire of the concept I think
Series three follows the established formula, of happiness, weird things happen, everyone gets involved, Steve gets a kicking while the kids hide, Hopper and Joyce save the day.
While the series continues to be atmospheric and full of nice 80s references, I really think I am starting to tire of the show. The fact that it is supposed to be centred around the kids is strong, and yet they get involved in so little of the action that it is a let-down. Imagine if in the Goonies the gang got to One-eyed Willie's booby traps only for Chunk's uncle to appear to get them through it, while they complain about snogging in braces.
Hopefully series 4 will be more interesting and mix things up a little.

Book Rating
Wild Zoo Train by Carmela LaVigna Coyle & Illustrated by Steve Gray a charming is a fun book filed with trains and animals. It is full of great rhyming, repetition and vocabulary words. The strong illustration will have kids flipping the pages and wanting to read it again.

It is so very colorful, crazy train conductor, the kids see all kinds of animal that you would find in a zoo. It could also be easily use as a search and find. The book is all about children visiting the zoo and hoping on a train to see different parts of the zoo and the conductor making sure they have what ever they need to do that. Just a great all around book for memorize and practing words.

I received this ARC from Rowman & Littlefield and Muddy Boots via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
2011 | Action, Adventure
I love this film so much. I've seen it at least 3 times, I'm pretty sure more. Captain America is one of my favorite avengers and Chris Evans is my dream man. Not only do I love this film and this story, but I love the intricacy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general. I love Peggy, I think she's badass and strong and a fabulous woman. I love Bucky and what he means to Steve, I love it all.

More than anything, I love the ball that this film sets rolling when you watch the films in chronological order. I know Iron Man was the first film in the MCU, but Captain America was the first avenger. The best part about watching these films is watching them again and again and catching new things every time.

I genuinely think this is one of the best films ever and I don't think anybody could tell me different.
