Lovely stories
This book was great, it surpassed my expectations. All of the stories were well written, had good strong characters and had humor to make you smile. I would definitely recommend this set of books, and I will look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated These Foolish Things in Books
Oct 7, 2020
While the premise was fun, the focus was a bit off, with far too many characters having their stories told. It would have been more effective if the author had concentrated on one or two main stories and let the other characters take a bit more of a back seat.

Great App and great books
I’ve been a Wattpad user for 7 years and have yet to delete the app. It’s a wonder option to read good stories for free and even write your own novel. I live is a small town with a small library (minimal selection) and no book store so this has been wonderful. Some may tell you Wattpad is only cliche Fanfiction stories but that is only one of the many genres. With the amount of amazing and original stories available, you’ll never run out of reading material.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2357 KP) rated Chesapeake Crimes: Homicidal Holidays in Books
Mar 9, 2018
This collection of short stories focuses on various holidays. Yes, the majority are Halloween and Christmas, but you also get a few fun days like Groundhog Day and Talk Like a Pirate Day.
There were several stories about a woman getting revenge on a man, and those really bothered me since that kind of justice doesn’t appeal to me. However, the majority of the stories were fun with decent characters and good plots. The variety in stories and holidays makes this a book worth checking out.
NOTE: I was sent an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Not as good as Daft Wee Stories
Some more daft wee stories from Limmy. I picked this up as a holiday read when my current fantasy book became too grim for poolside reading. These short stories are all of a similar feel to the first set but to my mind of lesser quality. The stories are generally all someone getting themselves into a ludicrous situation after a series of seemingly logical decisions. None of these quite match up with those in the first book, and some just end without his trademark twisted punchline. The final story, more of a novella, is more like a rejected Irvine Welsh story than his usual, and is really quite an unpleasant read.

Daft wee stories
I think there's something wrong with Limmy. Such a troubled mind. How he comes up with the stories contained here is mind-boggling.
This is a collection of short stories, all of which are less than a 10 minute read. All of them are very odd. Some are hilarious, some are interesting, others just truly bizarre. A number of the stories seem to be going nowhere and then just totally twist in the last few words. In others Limmy somehow has his character work through the logic of a stupid decision and somehow convince themselves to make that stupid decision
This collection is a good read, but don't expect it to be laugh out loud funny. This isn't your Michael Macintyre autobiography, it is a collection of daft wee stories, generally showing people getting themselves into weird situations or doing stupid things.
