Mostly whimsical science-fantasy from possibly the world's most widely-read author in the genre. The majority of these stories are cybernetic folk-tales about robot kings, knights, princesses, and so on, having various unlikely experiences: the tales are droll but also highly imaginative and witty. Also included are a couple of longer, more serious stories - one about a man hunting a robot, the other about a robot hunting a man - no prejudice here, to paraphrase the translator. Well-written and entertaining, gives a sense of Lem's range as an author.

A couple of these I have read for the authors before but a lot of these were new reads for me. I loved all these authors. They are amazing writers, the stories were so much fun to read. I loved the problems that they had.. the love that was found.. and of course all the paranormal beings in the stories. Totally amazing box set and I am so glad I got this from the authors for a read/review. I will recommend this set to all my friends

classic Stories are timeless
As good as an audio book delivered to your phone
This is a great podcast, classic literature has stood the test of time for a reason. I found Captain Blood because of him, and it's now one of my favorite books of all time. He tends to select toward the horror side of things, but you can always find something you are interested in listening to. From Sherlock Holmes to Peter Pan. Herland to Pride and Prejudice. and lots of small stories in between.

The best part of the book is the Sommelier
Mira Grant's "The Wine in Dreams" is about a sommelier who learns the lengths to which a person will go for a product representing a fantasy. This is by far and away the best story in the book. it's 4 short stories that interweave in this specific city in the star wars universe, which is essentially Las Vegas turned up to 11. If you love the star wars universe, it'll tickle that fancy, if you're not the stories are still interesting. I enjoyed it.
