Storytelling at its best!
From the variety of topics to the weight of some of the stories, there is something about the way that This American Life blends a narrative and touches on the lives of the people that the stories are about. I love the fact that even if I don't think that I am that into the topic that all of a sudden I am transported into the life and the situation. All of a sudden I am part of the story.
Again, storytelling at its best.

I'm glad I listened to the audiobook narrated by Amy Poehler, because I don't think I could have gotten through it if I was reading.
I liked some of the stories, but once she started talking about children, I was done. I don't think kids are cute, so cutesy stories about kids are so uninteresting to me. That was definitely when my thoughts started drifting, and I thought to myself, yeah, I'm glad I got the audiobook for free.
Overall, it was ok, but I definitely wouldn't listen to it again.

Epic ExtraOrdinary Story
I was so in love with the writing, world building, character development. I thought the plot was super creative and very refreshing to read. I love superheroes and the people who write about them or things related to them seem to have to most amazing skills to bring that world to light and this book was no exception I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves those kind of stories. Also, revenge is a side plot and well I always kind of love revenge stories.

Keeps you on the edge of your seat
This is another one of King's great short stories, up there with The Long Walk. A very insightful psychological thriller, that has, at some points in time, been banned from book shelves. It is one of the stories in the Bachman Books, one that is always well remembered, probably because of the effect reading it has on you.
King delves into the mind of a high school shooter, it's violent and graphic, it is not tasteless. As Bachman King did some of his best writing.

"If there's one thing these stories prove, it's that heriosm comes in all shapes, sizes, and varieties... -chapter 4
After all, you don't have to be a sword-wielding Gryffindor to be a hero; sometimes, all it takes is having you heart in the right place. -chapter 4
This was an interesting read that gave back stories to several Hogwarts teachers including Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin, Sybill Trelawney, and Silvanus Kettleburn.
For me this was a fun read because Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin have always been my favorite Hogwarts teachers.

Surprise
I picked up this book knowing that the series was starting on Netflix. I did not expect to be sucked in and unable to put the book down until I finished three days later nor did I expect to then go out and purchase the rest of the series based solely on the stories and writing of the first book. it is a relatively easy read but still full of interesting characters and stories and I'm looking forward to seeing them fleshed out further.

Junji Ito has an amazing imagination. I feel often in the West the story tellers try really hard to explain every detail. In Japan things can just exist and it's so refreshing and means you can just dive into a story and experiance it.
These are some crazy wonderful stories to give you chills. Stories I've never even conceived before. I'm going to order his others now. It's a must have
