Sara Cox (1845 KP) rated Fairest, Volume 1: Wide Awake in Books
Aug 13, 2018
Does every read fairy stories and automatically imagine medieval? I do. And then I was surprised by a character remembering the 1960s.
I found this really captivating, however not as much so as Fables.
I'm still going to read the second!

This is a collection of short stories - I did think it was just one story! The Christmas at cold Comfort Farm story is set pre-flora Poste, but was still probably the best story in the collection. worth a read.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Dorothy in the Land of Monsters (Oz ReVamped, #1) in Books
Dec 31, 2019
Received an eArc from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This is a wild and wacky retalling of the Oz stories involving vampires, werewolves, and zombies.
The humor is spot on and it's just gory enough!

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated The Elizas in Books
Dec 30, 2019
I loved this book so much. I have to say that while it was predictable I enjoyed the journey to the end.
The way the two stories intertwined was nicely creepy and Eliza's constant confusion and terror was really well done.

This movie was fun, interesting and intriguing. The individual stories of each character gave the movie dimension and, even though it didn’t delve into absolutes, you got enough to come away feeling satisfied; not left with more questions than answers.
