"Agnès Varda is one of the filmmakers I’ve always admired for her great ability to stick to her own voice. I find that irony is something that needs to be cultivated, and the few filmmakers who manage to do that are, for me, great masters. Even when she’s telling stories that are far from her own life, all of her films become like beads in a necklace that shines very brightly and decorates her. And the thing that I find surprising is that when she does tell stories that are so connected to her own gaze and her own life, they still succeed in being universal."

"This was the present I gave everyone I knew for three years. It’s six different stories told in different time periods and genres: One is historical fiction, another is a ’70s thriller mystery, the sixth is a postapocalyptic story. It’s one of the most beautiful, entertaining, challenging books—something that takes all your attention. I think the stories are meditations on violence, specifically the necessity of violence. The book ends with a beautiful exchange: ‘…only as you gasp your dying breath shall you understand, your life amounted to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean! Yet what is an ocean but a multitude of drops."

Triple Threat
Twice Told Tales- is very like "Tales of Terror", were it tells three different stoires that all star Vincent Price. Both films are based off of stories.

The Plot: Vincent Price stars in three horror stories. In "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment," Dr. Carl Heidegger (Sebastian Cabot) reanimates his long-dead fiancée. In "Rappacini's Daughter," psychotically over-protective father Giacomo Rappacini (Price) injects his daughter, Beatrice (Joyce Taylor), full of poisons that kill anyone she comes into physical contact with. Finally, in "The House of the Seven Gables," Gerald Pyncheon (Price) moves into his cursed family mansion with his new wife.

Its a decent film.
