Characters are amazing (1 more)
Individual character stories are well written
This game was a surprise. I thought it would terrible by the looks and first five minutes. It wasn't actually bad. It provided some sandbox elements, though they were lacking to be honest.
I loved the characters and their individual stories while the overall story was a little bland.
Combat was simple and intuitive, though a few tutorials would have helped a bit. I felt like I was figureing things out and then several bits later they would provided a tutorial. In the tutorial they showed me the easy way to do what I had already done.
Overall, it was good. One of kind really.

Listen just for Tom Hanks' mellifluous voice
Tom Hanks turns out to be as authentically genuine a writer as can be. The stories in this book range from the hilarious to the deeply touching.
They move in period, location, and manner, but all demonstrate a joy in writing, a pleasure in communicating an intensely American sense of atmosphere, friendship, life and family that is every bit as smart and engaging as the man himself.
While the stories are witty, it is more so because of the man himself. They may not be Pulitzer material, but it truly is a pleasure to read his book while thinking about this imaginative man.

The short stories in this are brilliant. There were a few that I ended up skipping (mainly just because I didn’t get along with the style of them) but I did read the majority of the short stories.
My favourites were by Jenny Han, Rainbow Rowell and David Levithan. They were all so festive and really got me in the festive spirit.
I also love the binding of this book! The page edges are a bright pink which is completely my colour! I also love hardbacks that have a bookmark in them – they are lifesavers!
I can’t believe that a collection with as many big names as this actually exists! I was in heaven while reading it!

I'm not normally a short story reader. I chose this because I thought it would be a funny read that would work well as an audiobook. plus, I was swayed by the "guest" readers on the audiobook.
Not only did it make me laugh but it made me think! Some of the stories were very thought-provoking, which surprised me. I enjoyed it. A few of the stories dragged on and on. My favorites were those that came abruptly to an end. They made me laugh and pause to think, instead of spelling it all out.
I was not. B.J.Novak fan from television really so I wasn't predisposed to like this book. It was just enjoyable.

The Brightest Night by Bri Stone
Four Stars
I love stories that get to the point and don’t mindlessly drag on. The author made this story an enjoyable easy read. Thom and Perrie are likable characters. They weren’t perfect at the start. They had baggage that they wanted left behind. I enjoyed Perrie's personality she didn’t get starry eyed over a guy. She didn’t give up herself for him either. She lived her life for herself and didn’t put up with any mess. The easy flow from page to page was what had me hooked. Some stories have useless I moments and unnecessary dialogs. Here everything had a purpose and place. Would definitely read more from this author.

Nicole Hadley (380 KP) rated Tell Me a Mitzi in Books
Jun 18, 2018
Tell Me a Mitzi by Lore Segal has three stories within one about Mitzi and her younger brother and their daily tales. The tales are a little slices of life with whimsy, a touch of fantasy, and a lot of repetition. The stories were a little long, my mind wandered, and I suspect that would be true with some children too. Mitzi was clever, independent, sneaky, and demanding. She and her brother kept their poor mother hopping! Children will relate to her and enjoy her antics, even if the telling of those antics is less than inspiring.

Sitting in traffic was never so much fun! The audio version of this book was just hilarious, and the narrator had all the right stuff to keep me engaged. The stories themselves are so amusing, I didn't want to actually get to my destination! This author has a knack for sharing her true stories, almost like meeting up with a long-time friend you haven't seen for a while and catching up over a meal or drinks. I laughed to the point of crying a few times, and I'd definitely pick this one up again when I ever need a good chuckle.
5 stars =)
