Is there such a thing as a bad Calvin and Hobbes book? Not quite as many stories but some sharp looks at our culture that are still relevant 20 years later. And just plan plenty of laughs.

Lirahlu (37 KP) rated The Burning Sky (The Elemental Trilogy, #1) in Books

For some reason Sherry Thomas has the ability to take stories you think will be boring and turn them into an entirely new and entertaining premise. Aspects of the Burning Sky were predictable but they were set in a world kept the reader intrigued and wanting to know more.

Next in the Dragon King Series. 4 Stars from me. Thought it was a little slow in the beginning but was worth the wait. I wouldn't recommend this as a stand alone read, there's just to many other stories going on that I can't wait to be resolved.

Napoli makes Norse mythology incredibly accessible, not only for young readers but also us older readers who don't have the time or inclination to wade through the tangled tapestry that is Norse mythology. The stories are engaging and help readers understand the characters, their key traits, and the major storylines associated with them. The illustrations are lovely as well.

Love between a dog and a human
Much better than the movie!
This book has so many more stories than what you see in the movie and you really get to understand what the dog is thinking and feeling. It's a very interesting experience.
I really enjoy using Instagram. It is an awesome platform to share photos with friends and family. I have also enjoyed the addition of Instagram stories, as it makes it easy for me to see quick updates from people that I follow. Instagram is one of the top apps on my phone in terms of usage.

Great end to a great series! Su Yi gets very sick, and relatives come in from everywhere to be with her...and try to get in her good graces for a good inheritance. The stories of all the characters weave together and make for a wonderful conclusion. Definitely enjoyed this series and I definitely recommend it!
New binge watch
Great series. Had me binge watching like mad. The storyline wasn't too predictable and the characters are given semi detailed back stories and progression. Similar concept to others but love the way this has been done. Obviously has been dubbed into English but after a short time you don't notice

Bubba Gee (147 KP) rated The Lost Symbol: (Robert Langdon Book 3) in Books

Awesome story
This is the best one of the Langdon series so far I feel, it wasn't as complex as some of the stories but really digs into the history of Washington and the founding fathers.
The plot twists are extremely captivating and I would reccomend this to anyone who likes thriller mysteries.
