I really had a hard time getting through this book. I didn't find it interesting, and I disliked the writing style. I know it's supposed to be a classic, but count me out.

An anime that is great art style and story line. Would recommend this to any anime fan or anyone who want to get in to anime and would want to know what anime to start with.

Gothic-style novel, reminded me a bit of the Victoria Holt novels. Could have done with a bit more clarity in the ending and trying to unpick all the threads of what had been going on.

This is a reasonably compelling novel with an interesting premise and intriguing characters. Yet, I found the writing style somewhat pretentious and the outcome of the plot somewhat disturbing. Not an enjoyable read on the whole.
