This book will make every reader grateful for the medicine of the modern age and will make you pause as you remember the lives of those passed before us who made the accomplishments from which we benefit possible.

I was a little confused going into this novel because I wasnt sure what to expect. From what I have researched, this is supposedly young adult. While the writing style makes it seem YA, there themes not appropriate for that age range. I guess new adult would be more appropriate?
Regardless, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and reflect the feel of the novel. As a fan of fantasy and fairytale retellings, Everealm was a novel I didnt even know I was looking for. The world and creatures she paints with her words are nostalgic of old childhood fairytales. While it still has many [cliché] themes that seem to be found in all YA novels (love triangle, etc.), the author added her own touch. It is a guilty pleasure feel good novel, free of heavy complexities that makes a novel more work than pleasure.
Overall, I enjoyed the novel and the feel that accompanied reading it. It is nothing groundbreaking, but the author has a lovely style that could be great.
To start off with, the writing style is very unusual. Written from the point of view of the protagonist ‘middle sister’, who has an unusual take on the written word and language. To being this style comes across as awkward and a little hard to read, but you soon get used to it. The major problem with this book is that it is completely bonkers, rambling and makes barely any sense. Whilst there are vague notions of an interesting plot, it’s lost entirely in the confused ramblings of middle sister. This book could have been cut down by half and still would’ve rambled on for a little too long. I really tried with this, I persevered and kept on reading but by the end I skim read the last 10% as I just couldn’t face the nonsense anymore.

I thought that the premise was really interesting and the world was well constructed but it didn't seem to flow as well as I thought it could have, some of the characters were very 2 dimensional and some of the events didn't really seem to be necessary for the progression of the story.
Overall, it wasn't a bad book but I just didn't enjoy it.
