I found this interesting film in a Stanley Kramer DVD collection I purchased a few years ago. The idea and story are similar to The Wizard of Oz. This time a young boy gets sucked into an interesting world he must make his way out of.
As much as I don't like remakes, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp could have a field day redoing this film for a new generation.
Still an entertaining film.

At first it was hard to follow this book due to the writing style. As well as that it irked me a bit when the main character wasn't using the language customs of her time even thought she never traveled prior to that, it seemed like it blended in well to either time she was but it didn't seem that believable. After that bit i really loved the story as a whole. It was captivating and adventurous and im excited for another in this story.

Realistic not Hollywood style thriller
Luke Smitherd has done another great job in bringing to life characters facing inexplicable terror. Chris, the protagonist, is both humorous and human - making misguided choices based on the little experiences that he had. The man in white is a brilliant villain, odious through his fake good humour and his macabre outlook of life. I really wish we could've found out how and why the man in white chose his victims and not just just how he picked his pawns. Would recommend!

The lyrical writing style: an occasional overblown misstep but overall very good (1 more)
The obvious research and detail
The intertwined story device: not my favorite (1 more)
Some weak story devices and characterization
This book draws obvious parallels with Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, so I was initially skeptical and expected to put it down almost immediately. But beyond the basic framework of the story, everything else about The Winter Sea stands very well on its own. It's not without its weak points, but overall this was a very enjoyable read.

solo players beware
Killing Floor 2 is a lot of mindless fun.I say mindless, but it really does take some strategy to be successful. That’s what makes it the most fun.If you’re thinking of going into this game solo,it’s going to be an uphill battle that will quickly get old

In the typical James Patterson style, it was soooo good you didn't want to put the book down. There were 4 story lines all going at once, which was a little overwhelming but not super confusing at all. I liked the entire book, and as always a huge fan of James Patterson.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a complimentary electronic book through NetGalley.com.
I was not required to write a positive review, only an honest one. The opinions I have expressed here are my own.

This film is superb, following the original three games, The Eternal Diva shows style and fluidity matching the games. The scenes are very well done and provide and excellent story that manages to fit puzzles like that of the games within it.

The fact that they have Luke begin the film by acting as a PR man for the first three games is amusing too.

I particularly enjoyed the operatic scenes of the film, as well as the revealing of Melanie's possession of Janet.

Entertaining
While searching through a list of "horror" movies to watch I came upon this interesting title. It turned out better than expected. Plenty of creepy imagery and characters it was quite entertaining. With the old school feel of it the cinematography and acting were very well done. The story- while a little predictable- proved to flow smoothly without being cumbersome or difficult to keep up with and entertained quite thoroughly. If you're into old style "ghostly" thrillers you will enjoy this one. Worth a watch!

Challenging nostalgic fun
Backed this game on Kickstarter on a whim, easily the best game my wife and I have bought on there. The art style reminds me of sketches from a notebook my friends would draw in high school, I can see how some people don't like it but it's really grown on us. Moreover, the base game is very unpredictable and that can make it turn from feeling easy to a grim defeat rather quickly which makes it a great challenge game.

Awesome
What an amazing third installment to a great trilogy. The acting, cinematography and story were excellent. Macavoy shows unbelievable acting ability once again as the Horde. Willis and Jackson were phenomenal as well. The story played out beautifully with it's many twists and turns and an unexpected ending. If you liked the first two of M. Knight's dark 'superhuman' style movies you will love this one. If you're a fan like me, however, it will definitely leave you wanting more! REALLY worth a watch!
