I read or, more accurately, listened to this book via Audible.

As such, I'm worried that I didn't get the full impact of it.

(sorry not sorry)

I am an inveterate worrier, and I did glean one or two nuggets of useful information from this, but I have to admit: I also had to force myself to finish it. I don't know whether it was because of the conversational style used, or the narrator or what, but I did find myself losing interest partway through.

I'm worried now that the author will take this the wrong way ...

Good old style shoot 'em thriller
A fairly plain and simple action thriller, with over the top characters. Almost like a comic book adaption with a retro twist. A man on the run gets arrested hoping that will keep him safe. The hitmen on his tail have other ideas.
It's a little slow to getting going but it's not long before the chaos ensues and the bullets flying everywhere. Funny in places and Alexis Louder was impressive in her role. One to switch the brain off to and just enjoy the show.

Easy-going martial arts Jackie Chan/Owen Wilson (and Lucy Liu) film, with Chan portraying the party of a Chinese Forbidden City Imperial Guard soldier who travels to the Wild West of America to rescue the kidnapped Princess Pei Pei (Lucy Liu), and falls in with outlaw Roy O'Bannon (Wilson) along the way.

As a Jackie Chan film, you pretty much know what to expect: lots of martial arts slapstick in his own inimitable style (and pidgin English, which is still a lot better than my non-existent Chinese!) and a few 'that's a terrible name for a cowboy' puns along the way!
