"When I was at school, Raymond Pettibon was one of my favourite artists. I'm not into comic books and I don't really like comic book artwork for records and some people probably would describe Raymond Pettibon in that style. And yet despite that, he just has something else. He has ideas. That particular picture on the cover of Goo was an image I was familiar with before I even knew who Sonic Youth were, which is probably a bit unusual. I came across it in one of his books. As a sixteen-year-old there were so many of his images, especially when those images included text, that really sparked off my thoughts. I found them really evocative. Sonic Youth are obviously a brilliant band but I only came to learn that a lot later."

"It’s another one of those movies that just feels so real. You watch those scenes and you’ve got tanks and armies, you know. It’s the first film I saw, as far as docudrama film style — you know, hand-held, very real, in the streets, in the world. And if I’m not mistaken, he only made a couple of films; the filmmaker made it and then he disappeared. He stopped making [fiction] movies. He made one with Marlon Brando and then that was kind of it. But the fact that he pulled off this movie — it’s a masterpiece. I remember watching the movie and feeling like it was a documentary, it felt so real. It’s so amazing. The performances of the actors, everything — it’s mind-blowing when you watch it."

I found this game to be quite charming and loved the whimsical and brightly colored art style. Playing as Ash was interesting seeing his perspective and getting some insight through him as to why his bullies were targeting him. The controls for the game are great because of the accessibility settings. The story itself is simple, but good because it is well told and you get a lot of those feelings through Ash's art. It's not very long, I finished it in about 5 hours, but there's a lot of great gameplay and art in it. There's also a photo mode and a free paint mode which add a little something extra to the game. Oooof, apparently I should have read the synopsis more closely. The writing was good, and I would be willing to try another book by this author.
This book just wasn't my jam, my brain turns off as soon as the story line becomes solely about having kids and sacrificing oneself for family. I can't relate, and I find it completely snooze-worthy.
This rating is so low, because this just wasn't my cup of tea. It only gets a 2 because I liked the writing style. I know it's based on a myth, which is en vogue right now, but why can't strong, childless (by choice) women exist in books? This novel to me was just a growing problem that I'm having with novels in general at this point.

"It was my mother's favourite song. He has one of the smoothest voices in music ever. There's a strange sort of reverb going on there that's also present in 'Blue Velvet' by Bobby Vinton. Subconsciously, some part of me wanted to emulate what my mother found to be romantic. Again at a young age, I found that this was romance. Here was what made the girls smile because he was a huge heart-throb as well. So that early crooning, soft romantic style was a blueprint for us early on. From time to time I dive into it, as it's one of the constellations that's always in the sky for me. In fact, it's always on the radio and played more than Britney Spears or Alicia Keys, but only on oldies stations."

"In preparation for my Christmas film, White Reindeer, I watched this movie and wrote down a description of every single shot, including each camera move and change in blocking. Not only is Heaven Sirk’s most fully realized, subversive takedown of suburban hypocrisy, it’s also the best Christmas movie of all time, and such a marvel of style and camera direction that you barely notice how intricate its construction is until you force yourself to examine it. Sirk said that, in cinema, “motion is emotion,” and that ethos reaches its zenith in the zoom in on Jane Wyman’s reflection in a television screen. This is nothing less than the greatest dolly movie in cinema history. If anyone ever tells you irony and sincerity can’t coexist, tell them they are painfully, tragically wrong."

This was FUN! Not 5-star fun, but still fun nonetheless! Christopher Hastings clearly had a good time writing this cute li;l gem! And while I could go on and on how Hastings' handling of all the G0tG member 9which was A+ for sure!), I feel the need to shower Flaviano Armentaro with a more than hearty helping of paise for his adorable art (rendered in an "old skool" Disney-esque style)! Everything about this series says perfect for a lazy afternoon with some Stash Asian pear green tea and a dog in your lap!

Oh, and I challenge you to NOT hear the late David Bowie's voice when you read the Adminstrator's dialogue!

Now, scoot, go and read it, summer is nearly here, and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is already at the movies!

Overall interesting Thriller
Finally watched this after hearing about it quite a bit. An enjoyable thriller about a stalker who kinda inserts himself into the lives of women he takes an interest in.
Done with a similar narration style as @Dexter - Season 1 to the viewer. It was fun in some episodes, with a fair amount of humour to it. You shouldn't like the main character but you view things from his perspective, and he comes across as the nice guy. The ending was a bit of a disappointment for me and felt rushed compared to the rest of the series. Not exactly gripping, I got through about 30 episodes of Dexter by the time I did all 10 of this. Entertaining if not a classic.

I really liked this YA Contemporary Romance. It was sort of run-of-the-mill but I really liked it.

Ryan Hunter obviously had feelings for Lisa and used the opportunity presented to him to get to know her better by training her for the--what I know as football, but what American's know as soccer--team.

Of course it didn't all go to plan, as is the case with most romances. There is always something that goes wrong or a misunderstanding.

The style was really easy for me to get into and I read the full 200-odd pages within a few hours. It was right up my street and I can't wait to read Ryan Hunter, book 2 in the series and all from Ryan's POV.

Cecelia Ahern wrote this as though she had been writing YA Dystopian all her life. She is my favorite author and I was so excited when I heard she was bringing this one out. The style she wrote it in is incredible, I actually felt like I was the main charector and that never happens as usually when I read a book it plays out in my head like a tv show. This book made me feel like I was living inside this book,I was living this unfair life with rules and regulations. I couldn't stand Celestine at the start of this story I wanted to give her such a shake! By the end I loved her. I cannot wait for the 30th of March next year!
