Rolling Stone's 56th greatest album of all time
Elvis' debut album, mainly consisting of covers (Carl Perkins' Blue Suede Shoes, Little Richard's Tutti Frutti and Ray Charles' I Got a Woman among them). A decent album but a sign of style over substance for what was to come. He was definitely a performer, there is no denying that.

While this hip hop is a lot better and more listenable than a lot of the more aggressive examples, there wasn't quite as much substance or character as the likes of Eminem or Kanye. It just felt like there was something missing for quite a lot of it.

This was a compellingly sweet read with a bit of mystery thrown in. The first pages draw you in and tell you that this won't just be a romance but actually have some content to keep you interested. That to me makes this stand out from other romances.
The characters aren't just one dimensional and they bring a backstory that gives the relationships substance.
Perfect for those who enjoy a mystery romance with substance that isn't just about the sexual attraction and nothing else. For those who don't want a lot of extras it may not be for you.

On a side note the cover to me doesn't do this book justice. To me it looks like an 80s cheap romance cover and takes away from the book, which is actually very good.

Disappointing, John Hurt is the only good thing
What a ridiculous film. Apart from John Hurt, the film lacked any kind of substance but tried too hard to be clever. It consisted of several murders, with mathematical clues, leading to a big explosion that actually ended up being an anti-climax. I tend to avoid films with Elijah Wood for a reason.

As an avid [W.E.B. Griffin] fan I was slightly disappointed by [Hazardous Duty]. The whole story seemed like a long bachelor party and lacked any of the normal substance. Yes, the characters were there but even the "old friends" seemed to be shallow. Does not mean I will stop reading every book [Griffin] puts out just this one seemed a weak link.

If you are looking for a fluffy romance walk away. This is way more than that. It is deep, emotional, and the flawed main characters make for a romance with substance.
This book has more layers than Shrek. It has emotion, heartache, and each character has it's own back story.
So if you are looking for a book with romance and more than this will be perfect.

Really funny!
Why is a horror podcast talking about a Rom Com? Guess you will have to listen to find out. Join hilarious and informative hosts John Crinan and Zoë Smith as they praddle on whilst having a bottle of red wine (they may have had some ahead of time as well).

There is both style and substance here and a highly recommend!
