Borderlands is a great introduction to the world of Pandora. The quality comedy and gore make this game so entertaining along with a pretty decent storyline and lovable characters. the major problem with this game is the ending is so lacking in substance i didnt even realised id finished it. having said that there's still a great amount of replayability with the different characters and dlc's. Gearbox found a niche and made it great.

No substance, wastes valuable plot opportunities, poor story telling (0 more)
So much hype so little substance
I was reluctant to watch this as it didn't immediately strike me as something I'd enjoy, however I read so much hype and praise for it, I simply had to.

When it started I was hopeful that actually this might just provide a pleasant surprise for me but by the end I was disappointed and left wanting more.

Let's face it, we've seen this film before in several different guises, 'The Mist' 'The Crazies' they all have one thing in common that makes me sigh every time, lack of depth. There's no imagination and explanation, in concept this could have been so much more but it remains a creature-less, face-less disappointment.

The whole premise relies on exploiting the viewers anxiety over the care of the children and the need to protect. I may be missing the point and I know this is a commentary on mental health but it's tenuous at best and I felt cheated by something that could have been so much more.

This book wasn't all bad. I love a good crime mystery book. I just found parts of this one to be VERY predictable. The premise behind the book had potential...a victim in a domestic abuse case & connection to the mob & identity theft. The idea was fantastic, but the writing to my dismay lacked much substance. All in all this was a free book & I am glad I didn't pay for it! It wasn't a complete waste of time thanks to a twist I wasn't expecting, but the characters were pretty cliche.

Ok so the pitch for this must have been Matrix meets Underworld. It's very stylized, has some nice production. The CGI was good especially for the Vamps, the weapon and vehicle design was nice ( There is a 10 min featurette on the DVD for these, the bikes looking a cross between Tron/Akira styles and Darth Maul's speeder!) However it's sadly lacking in story, which is just bizarre and substance with a run time 75min! The ending just happens a bit too quick. Nice touches but overall not a patch on the similar films.

The prose of WE SHED OUR SKIN LIKE DYNAMITE is beautiful, thoughtful, and a complicated mess of life.
I fully expected the usual confessional poetry and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of many poems, which touch on subjects such as abortion, sex, and substance abuse. I found the word play interesting and alluring, while occasionally surpassing boundaries I wasn't aware existed. Though it's not my *favorite* collection, it's certainly a cerebral and fluid one, offering up a depth of experience difficult to find in these shallow modern poetic waters.
