Wonder Woman has long been a character for little girls to idolize, but Patty Jenkins’ smashing success grants a forceful push towards gender equilibrium in the superhero movie world. Gone are the fears that audiences will balk at a female-led fantasy.

DeConnick's run on Captain Marvel is my favorite (hint..marvel should bring her back on to write the character again..). This is the first volume, and very solid. It was a nice introduction to Carol, and how she deals with everything by becoming Captain Marvel. Carol is one of my favorite superhero characters, and I can completely relate to her.

Fresh Superhero Film

This was a messy movie. Some of the cutting was ugly and I was not a fan of the action. That all being said, I really enjoyed the character arc that they gave Venom and how he changed over the course of the film. I had a lot of fun watching this film.

Enjoyable and humorous introduction to Scott Lang with inspired casting of Rudd in a role that suits his bumbling and reluctant superhero persona.
It lacks outright action and substitutes the lack of action for comedic and amusing moments to good effect.
Its a light hearted addition to the Marvel canon and although not the strongest entry it's a worthy one.
