"Come at once if convenient. If not convenient, come at once all the same - SH"

The final entry in Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes canon, which - again - I experienced through a mixture of reading and listening to the Stephen Fry narrated Audible version, and which is also really once again a collection of short stories rather than a single over-arching narrative.

What is unique in this collection, though, is that some of the stories are presented as Holmes himself delivering the narrative, rather than Watson acting as the biographer.

I also noticed - perhaps reflecting the nature of the time in which they were written, and Doyle's own interests - that there are more of the, shall we say, supernatural elements in the case chosen ("The adventure of the Sussex Vampire" springs to mind, for example) although - in all cases - the supernatural elements are later debunked by Holmes himself.

As a whole? I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the company of Holmes and Watson.

Maudlin's Mayhem is the second book in the Bewitching Bedlam series. Maddy and her vampire boyfriend run a B&B in a town full of supernatural beings. Problems one after another continue stacking up, and Maddy must stop this quickly before someone she cares about gets hurt. Magic, Mystery, Mayhem, Romance, Laughter, and more Twists and Turns. I love this new world and characters that Yasmine has created. I can't wait for the next book!!!

Wow
Not your typical exorcism movie. The acting and cinematography were phenomenal. The storyline unfolded beautifully and intensely in this supernatural thriller. The twists were a bit predictable and the end, of course, left it open for a sequel, but none of that took away from the entertainment value. If you enjoy possession stories you'll enjoy this one. It approaches possession and exorcism from a very interesting perspective/angle. REALLY worth a watch!

Yes it is good for those who like Fantasy and the Supernatural but I think it is an ode to Warehouse 13 as the plot lines are very similar, in that they find objects with magical powers and then they are stored away. The character plot lines are interesting and different to Warehouse 13 but sorry although I watched them all and enjoyed them, Warehouse 13 is so much better.
