Bonkers
Let's be honest, a Studio Ghibli film is never going to bad and is most usually going to be a little bit weird and wonderful. Well Ponyo is about as wacky and bonkers as you can get for a storyline, and you spend most of this film wondering what on earth you're watching. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just a bit surreal.
The animation side is wonderful as always and it's a heartwarming story, albeit a bit crazy. I wouldn't say it's one of my favourite Studio Ghibli films, but its still a fun family entertaining animation.

Holliston TV Series
A fun sitcom created by and starring Adam Green (Hatchet), with co-star Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2). This fun series based on 2 wannabe film makers desperately trying to get there movie made while dealing with everyday life. Many surreal and interesting moments (many of which involve Oderus Urungus from the band GWAR or Dee Snider from Twisted Sister) and a mass of guest stars from the horror genre, however I must point out that you don’t have to be a horror fan to enjoy this show!!!

I love Elton, and was raised with 'Madman Across the Water'.
Of course, this film will be endlessly with Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was inevitable, since they were released within a year of each other.
I thought Taron did well as Elton, as did the other cast. The film didn't pull punches, and showed the excessive drug/alcohol use. It was probably biased definitely towards Elton, since he was heavily involved.
I liked that the film was slightly surreal, though the trope of revealing all in a therapy setting has been overdone. It did pack an emotional punch, and it didn't feel like I'd been sitting there for over two hours.

I saw this film 3D at the cinema and I was blown away. It was so surreal and utterly transporting. Even now years later I still love to watch it and am eagerly looking forward to the next one.
This is the kind of movie that does best on a large screen with decent sound projection else it loses some of its magic, (I have small tv in the lounge) despite that I loved the concept of the film and the landscapes were amazing.

It's been a very long time since I have seen this and it is certainly not comparable to Eddie Murphy's 80's classics (Beverly Hills Cop/Coming To America etc.). It's not particularly funny and the plot is a rather odd mix of far eastern mysticism and Murphy wisecracks with some very surreal moments (the dancing Pepsi can /demon Charles Dance). For me it's a bit of a mess and overall doesn't really work. It's not boring though and keeps you relatively entertained even if just to see what weird shit is going to happen next but it's definitely at the lower end of the scale of Eddie Murphy movies.
