a bit slow in the beginning chapters but from around chapter 3, i was hooked. there are a lot of different parts to this story, a love story combined with conspiracy, mystery and suspense. the story contains lots of twists and turns and definitely will keep you hooked. the characters were very easy to connect with and you were able to feel all there emotions. the secondary characters also play important roles within the book which only adds to the story. would definitely recommend but remember to have all the books in the set first.

Jordan Peele doing what he does best
I believe that Jordan Peele (one of my favourite directors recently) has truly found his forte. Successfully, he creates another amazing horror film that leaves you tingling with suspended throughout the entire film. The cast also have been chosen perfectly for their roles and the characterisation that comes with them, however this can only be done with skilled actors such as Lupita Nyong'o. Only problem was the tethered lady's voice which sounded like she needed a good cough (just joking ? ). Brilliant film though

A dark forest is scary! I definitely spooked myself out while reading this book. I couldn't put it down either. If you read it without looking too far for answers, it will keep you quite entertained. I had to read with the lights on for part of it. What a creepy story with creepy characters. It was a bit aggravating with the main character's personality. It had to be that way for the story to work. But I was disappointed in it. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. Ruth Ware knows how to do suspense!

A good debut from Renee Knight
At surface level, this is a really good psychological suspense/thriller book. However, you will find flaws if you look deeper. I couldn't really relate to any characters, I didn't particularly like or become attached to any of them, but the multi-layered family conflict was good and realistic.

This was an edge-of-your-seat thriller that kept me guessing. Liza is an author, and her agent gives her 30 days to come up with a novel that will wow him and keep her writing career alive. She’s also trying to conceive the child she thinks will make her husband happy again. The story moves between Liza’s world and her protagonist Beth’s world, and the suspense builds as the line between fantasy and reality start to blur. I highly recommend this one to thriller fans!

they`re not playing around
from start to finish i was laughing but it wasnt a slapstick over the top comedy , great performances from the main cast and the chemistry between Bateman and McAdams is great ,the film its self was a cross between an action film and comedy with just the right amount of suspense to keep you gripped to the seat .when i seen the trailer i wasnt too sure about this but after my disappointment with Lady Bird and 3 Billboards I was pleasently surprised

What a great read.
This book never has a dull moment with suspense, humour and just the right amount of kink to keep you turning the pages.
Ex Domme and thief, Roz Spring is witness to a murder. Andy McTavish is trying to get her to go into protective custody before the murderer, Ex navy seal turn bad, Hall, gets his evil hands on her. But Roz has other ideas as she tries to raise the money to help her low life dad pay off the bad guys so after he is released from prison they don't put him six feet under.

A gritty hard thriller about a cop killer in London. It has a great well known UK cast, more TV than film though. The only real problem is the story they have to work with, it's a bit weak at best. As a result there is very little suspense in the plot, it also has a fairly low budget feel to it. It's ok for those who like a quick fix of action/thriller with a simple basic story. Others might like a bit more substance in the plot, which could have made it a lot better.

This is what novels should aspire to be. I read this when it first came out and it went into a box where I recently came across it again. With many novels, it's one and done. I read it once and there is no point in reading it again. But not this one. This is one to savor again and again because each time you read it you come across some gem that you missed before. The suspense is palpable. The drama is real. The heart and soul are apparent on every page. I highly recommend it.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!
What a fantastic first book in a new series - murder, suspense, action, intrigue, twists and turns aplenty and with the fantastic characters, perfect pace and gripping story line, this makes for one excellent book.
Highly recommended and I can't wait for the next one to see how Con develops and what she gets up to next.
Did I say I loved it?!?
