Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2163 KP) rated Slay Ride (Christopher Miller Holiday Thriller, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
A complaint about a bad shuttle driver leads to a kidnapping and possible murder. Meanwhile, FBI agent Christopher Miller is called back to the field for a robbery that is more than it appears. Yes, these two plots cross, and the suspense keeps the pages turning. However, I found the language and gore in the book to be too much for my tastes.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2163 KP) rated Blind Dates can be Murder (Smart Chick Mysteries, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Finally ready to get back into the dating game, Jo agrees to a blind date. Her date is short, fat, bald, and part way through dinner, dead. But when Jo finds herself targeted by the killer, she ramps up her efforts to bring the person to justice. Another great book that keeps the suspense building until the very last page.

I loved this show, watched it since day one, always trying to guess who A was, always getting it wrong ha! Loved the characters and their story lines the last few seasons got really good and more ‘darker’ and then we found out who A really was and I’m not sure I enjoyed the ending I feel like more could have been done, that or I’m just in denial that’s the end haha
Andrew Koltuniuk (756 KP) rated Mission: Impossible (1996) in Movies

The movie that started it all
This is the movie that started the Mission Impossible franchise so it had to have done something right. Right?
You would be absolutely right. This film is suspense, mystery and action all rolled into one. Some of the effects may not have aged the best, but this film can still hold its own with many of the great action films. I will watch this movie again and again to watch just how great it is.

Creative and Realistically Horrific
So many people can't get past the issue of race which is a key element in this movie. But looking at the bigger picture...this could be a reality for ANYONE regardless of race or religion. Forget traditional slavery. That's terrifying in it's own way. But this movie proposes a realistic idea of society that will keep you up at night to avoid bigger nightmares that Freddy, Jason, or Michael ever caused.
Kate (355 KP) rated Doctor Who - Series 11 (New Season 11) in TV
Jan 22, 2019
Jodie Whittaker is good as the Doctor and is playing her/him/it well but we miss the good script writers because having grown up with Doctor Who and my children watching it, where are the nail biting moments and hiding behind the sofa, it has all become rather PC and telling stories with morals so bring back the suspense and monsters. I also miss the story line running through the whole series and realising there was one until the clues were revealed.

When Four Horror Icons Collide
House of the Long Shadows- is a excellent movie. It has four horror legends and icons in it. Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and John Carradine. It mixes horror, suspense and comedy and it does a excellent job with it.
The plot: An American author finds a dilapidated Welsh manor perfect for writing until the residents host a bizarre family reunion.
Its a must see film.

Lottie disney bookworm (1056 KP) rated Remember Who You Are in Books

Remember Who You Are exudes the love of Disney with every paragraph. Every chapter starts with a quote from an iconic film and quotes are hidden like easter eggs throughout the story.
Poppy's story could easily have been lifted straight out of a Hollywood rom com: it has sex, sass and suspense as well as an amazing best friend and men we love to hate.
What could be better? This story with the addition of a Disney castle of course!
