Sweet but predictable
Dilly Court has done what she does brilliantly once again but this one feels like it's rushed. It feels as though everything happens too easily which sucks big time because usually Dillys books have awesome twists and turns. Would still recommend, easy read with another good story.

It was cute and sweet, but not really captivating. Moved at a slow pace, but not slow enough to make you want to walk away. It's a book I could have gone without reading and wouldn't have missed out; however, I don't feel like I wasted my time reading it.

"A film as depressing as it is inspiring. Heartbreaking, thoughtful, fascinating. Bitter and sweet, cool and creepy. It kinda makes you want to become an artist, and kinda makes you want to slit your wrists. It washes over you—leaving you really wanting to take a shower and wash it off"

"And my kids and I love this book. It’s not easy for an illustrated picture book to hit that sweet spot, where it is fun for the both the kids and the parents to read, but this this one does it. Charming and silly, this ridiculous book is a joy."

"I’m going to go with The Sweet Hereafter. I just love the sort of darkness of that movie, and I just think the performances in that movie… I love Sarah Polley and I always have. That movie, it stayed with me. It stayed with me for a very long time."

"This workbook may not solve the Burning Issues of Your Life, but you sure as hell can save yourself a lot of trouble by looking into it…She has made some important matters wonderfully clear, and every page is informed by a sweet concern for the well-being of her reader."

I hate to give a 2 star review, but for some reason, this novella could not hold my interest. Not that I wasn't curious about Dawson and Bethany's story, but I found myself skipping through a lot of it. It was still a sweet story.
