"Definitely not a sweet fairy-tale for children. This is for adults with a glass of something strong in hand and a free evening."

I like to read a short story--or three--whenever I'm struggling to get into my longer ones, which is my current problem, as I feel they help.

This was a sweet story, but I also felt like it didn't really have enough relationship progression in it. I would have loved to see more of them together. Other than that, I liked it.

I do love Elle Casey's humour in her books. I thought the first one was funny but this one...I couldn't stop laughing at some of the stuff she came out with. Total craziness but I loved it. The taunting that turned into something sweet and romantic. I loved them as a couple!

I can't wait to read more books by the author.

Anna's hidden disability made her mother Jess only want to protect and care for her all the more; especially since she has such a sweet nature - in fact, she is a "Pure Gold Baby". But would caring for Anna be enough for Jess? You can read my revised review of this novel here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2013/11/15/the-anthropology-of-motherhood/

Though it's been a while between books 1 & 1.5 and this, I have to say I remembered Riff very well and liked him in them, but I fell for him in this. He's such a great guy but doesn't believe he's good enough for Aubrey, which always melts me a little anyway, but with how sweet and gentle he is with her...awwwww!!
