I like Monopoly. It is a long game, but these days, a lot of tabletop games are. Unfortunately, the length can cause some people to not want to play it or would rather play something with more flavor. For this reason, I'm pretty sure I've only played 2 complete games in my life.

A Classic That should be left in the past
So many other tabletop games completely dwarf this and it should be left in the past. Eliminating players isn't fun, and no strategy to mitigate luck leaves a lot to be desired.

This is a classic table top game. My friends and I don't get to play it much but if you are introducing someone to tabletop games, this might be a good one to start with. The rules are pretty simple to follow and the available actions on your turn are limited so there isn't too much for them to make decisions on.
