I really enjoy Tony Parsons' books as they have always excited me, kept me on tenterhooks and had me reading long into the night. Unfortunately, Who She Was, for me, is nowhere near on a par with his previous books which I am upset about.
It pains me to say this but I found the story boring, the plot tedious, the characters totally unlikeable or memorable and the twists just meh!
Now, this is my opinion only and I have seen lots of reviews that rate this very highly so please don't take my word for it ... you can't please everyone all of the time! I also won't let this blip put me off from reading more of Tony Parsons work in the future.
Thanks must go to the author, Random House UK, Cornerstone, Century and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of Who She Was.

Solid gold
I've been listening to this soundtrack for the last three months. These songs struck a chord with me since I heard "This is me" in the first trailer. Though I bought it knowing only one song, I was not disappointed. Each song is unique and positively catchy. It was enough, on its own, to prompt me to pre-order the film in 4k Blu-ray without having seen it yet.

This was an interesting take on dystopian YA. People called Epics with superhuman powers who are almost without exception villainous thugs. That's enough to get me interested. I did figure out the "surprises" at the end, but it was an enjoyable read and I'll probably pick up the rest of the series at some point.

Barbados isn’t on my bucket list of places I would like to visit, but thankfully, Willig gave me a virtual visit through this book. Take a look at my #bookreview of this novel to see if I found this literary vacation a pleasant one or not! https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/06/14/burning-in-barbados/
