A book that wasn't for me I'm sorry to say.

Set in a future where climate change is not just something that is likely to happen but is all too real and where everyone is micro-chipped and controlled by the Government, this is the story about Mim trying to find out about her missing husband but feeling she has no other option than to go on the run with her children.

Sounds good doesn't it, well for me it just fell short on excitement. There was a lot of description, too much waffle and whilst the characters were well developed, I couldn't seem to get on with them. The ending was also a disappointment; it seemed to take a while to get there and then it was over with many questions still to be answered - maybe I missed something somewhere?

So whilst this wasn't for me, there are plenty of positive reviews out there so don't take my word for it as I always say, if we all liked the same things, the world would be a very boring place indeed.

My thanks go to HarperCollins UK / HarperFiction and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

Lucifer is always telling people that he's the devil, but no one believes him! He goes on to consult for the police, and punish those who are guilty. (0 more)
Devilishly Good
Just a great TV series. This one had me gripped from the very first episode. Yes, he is the devil, but not the devil we have always been taught about. This series will take you on highs and lows, following his own suffering and selflessness. Its hard not to fall in love with lucifer. 100% must watch programme 👏👏👏.

Breath of fresh air
This app has helped motivate me to read a lot more via the 'reading challenge' feature which I like to take part in each year and compete with my previous personal reading goals. I am also reminded to read by the optional push notification/emails which I have selected. Love that you can select your edition to keep track of your reading progress in a way that's personal to you and create and keep lists catered to your reading taste. I like to discover new books on there along with keeping track of what I've read before and what I'm currently making my way through. Very good also to use as a wishlist for others to know which books to purchase for you as a gift. Would highly recommend to readers and non-readers alike, who knows, something might take your fancy or your competetive streak may take over.

I thought this movie was cute and it makes a refreshing change from all the usual sex and violence that we see nowadays. It did take make me reminisce about old fashioned films with all the dancing and singing however I did fast forward through some scenes that seemed to go on forever! I thought Stone's singing was weak but like Russell Crowe in Les Mis sometimes it makes the characters more personable.

I never really bought into the whole self-help genre, but this book did wonders for me. A shorter novel, this book stays focused and on task the entire time. This book really makes you stop and take a look at yourself and decide what you need to change. You are the only one who can help yourself, though. No one is going to do it for you. This book was a pleasant surprise.

Definitely 100% leaps and bounds better than Pirate King - however, there were a bunch of spelling/grammar errors that just drove me insane. The story overall was amazing - it was a unique take on a siren - I have never read something like that before. There was a lot of mayhem and it was very exciting, though a lot of it was predictable it was still entertaining. Definitely a nice way to finish the series.

About to start something that I think is a tad idiotic .. Have you ever heard of the app TubiTv??? Well, basically its a free streaming app built into my Sony BluRay player. And I'm going to watch and review all the horror films in it... There's 700# horror films on it... So it may take me some time. Im going to try and watch 2 a day.
I started last night with the classic "Zombeavers".

Not nearly as good as The Da Vinci Code, but still worth a read
It's not fair to compare a book against a writer's best work but you can't help it when you come next in line. This is a follow up, and it feels more rushed and less thought out to me. I expected more and that's probably on me. I almost wish I read this one first, I'd probably like it more. Either way it's worth the time to read it, but if I had to choose, I'd take Da Vinci or Origin over it.
