Imogen SB (4507 KP) rated Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019) in Movies

I thought this film really did something I wasn't expecting. Instead of focusing on the physical crime that created Ted Bundy into the infamous killer everyone knows him as today; it was refreshing to see a more emotional take on the whole events. I loved the performance of Liz. Wholly, I think this film will be disliked because it didn't divulge into the gruesome and gory deaths that we all know about, but I think the director did an amazing job of holding the perspective.
This film reminds me of the Steve Jobs film with Michael Fassbender, and also Legend with Tom Hardy.

Huh...another one that I'm completely torn by. I stayed up half the night reading the first 52% in one sitting.
The plot of having 5 families working under one company that pretty much runs half the world was a little far fetched for me. I'm sure stuff like that happens in the world but at the same time, it's too ridiculous for me to take seriously.
>On the other hand, I loved the relationship between Beck and Riley and let's not forget the rest of the gang and their strong bond.
I'm undecided as of yet whether I'm going to finish the series after that, in my opinion, strange ending.

Truly Worth Reading
Though not a typical read for me, I am grateful that the publisher sent me an advanced readers copy because it was such a beautiful story. This story is told from varying views and I found myself easily relating to the younger sister Millie in particular to her choice of a husband. Through the author's writing I, was able to experience the feelings that Ruth and Millie had in such a vivid way, that I often felt as I myself was a part of this well-written story.
This was truly well worth reading and I hope that others take a chance on this story.

Can you say The Cowboys Holiday Bride three times fast? Well, I tried and failed. But I so enjoyed this rendition of A Christmas Carol themed story! Cathy McDavid has always been a favorite author from the Harlequin publishers as she has consistently good and relaxing stories.
This book was sweet, a little sassy, and made me smile. I so enjoyed getting to read and learn about Cash and Phoebe. I thought that their story was well laid out, had good character arcs, and I loved (have I said I loved the interesting take on A Christmas Carol?) Cathy McDavid’s unique and fun take on this classic story. It was just what I needed in the midst of this season. I recommend it to anyone wanting a feelgood story that will make you warm and fuzzy inside.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the well-done plot, the fun characters, and for making me smile & relax.
*I volunteered to read this book in return for my honest feedback. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

An interesting take on religion and theology
In The Subtle Knife, you finally find out what Lord Asriel's plan is that is never explained in the first book, Northern Lights. I won't go into detail for anyone who hasn't read the book, but it's a little bit bonkers. I'd be intrigued to hear a review from someone religious, as this book expands further on the anti-religion, atheistic themes.
I'm an atheist, so for me I found this book really interesting. It's a fantasy take on Paradise Lost, and it's such an intriguing and well written story. I missed a few characters in this, namely Iorek and the Gyptians, but it was good to see Lyra develop and become more mature. I like Will as a new character, he's very much the sensible one to Lyra's rash character.
In all, the story is quite a bit bonkers but still a very satisfying and well written read. Can't wait to read the last one.

A refreshing take on card games
Keyforge is a fantastic Unique Card Game that has provided me hours of fun, tight games for a fraction of the price of other TCGs, CCGs and LCGs. Yes, you might "waste" your money on a deck that hasn't got the gear to compete, but for the price of a middling MTG standard deck, you can buy 10 Keyforge decks. Even when you get a deck that isn't as competitive as others, there are formats that actively encourage players to bring their worst decks, such as reversal. As an avid card gamer, Keyforge really feels like a massive improvement on the already established card games like MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh! that have the biggest market share. If you want to play a card game tha doesn't leave you in debt or take up all your spare time, Keyforge is perfect.
