Michael Knight's a collection of short stories gives us the flavor of the many attributes of the city Mobile Alabama and a taste of some of its varied inhabitants, with some wild weather (both literally and figuratively) thrown in for good measure. See what I thought of these stories in my review of "Eveningland" here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2017/03/26/mobile-stories/

A story of one man's obsession with a woman who wanted something else. Unfortunately, I found this book to be a touch too sterile for my taste, lacking in humour and devoid of the historical connections I expect to find in period fiction. A very funny film showing the cultural divide between the two countries. Some of it is a bit gross, in poor taste but mainly just plain silly. It can be a bit hit and miss at times. Although the scenes and reactions of some of the people he meets on his journey are very funny, very hard to believe they generally took him seriously!

Fantastic!
This is by far 1 of the best books I've read, it is a book I recommended to everyone especially as it's not 'normally' to my taste.
The style in which it it's written is also brilliant not many writers can pull it off especially at this level!
You will feel that you really know the characters by the end.
A gripping read!

Unique
The title of this book intrigued me. It was an original concept but there was a lot of repitition. The protagonist being a soul trapped in a memorial bench was new and the voice was original just a bit on the whiney side. Overall the book dragged a bit too much for my taste but the uniqueness of it should not be overlooked.
