Khalid has a way of weaving elements of throwback R&B, Sam Smith-esque soul and 1980s pop into infectiously catchy beats. And he does that without being overtly saccharine or resorting to that derivative drop-that bass.

A missing teen, a skull with a bullet hole, and a mysterious grad student make up this mystery. The plot slowed a bit in the second quarter, but picked up again for the second half. As always, the characters and writing are top notch.

It's A Book!
If read on it's own without ever watching or knowing about the series, it's a beautiful tale of teen anguish, truth, and reality surrounding a topic that deserves more attention.
