What does feminism mean today? This explains what it means and offers a 20th century definition: inclusion and awareness. She points out institutional behaviours as well as blatant discrimination. She uses personal experiences to illustrate how bad this can be and what it means to be a woman today. Fantastic stuff!
Oh, and if you want to know whether I’d recommend it (the answer is yes), you only have to look at the example of Sweden, where they hand a copy of this book out to all teenagers, boys included, to read.

Fun piece of cinema
I had heard about this film from other and the internet, so I spent some Best Buy reward Bucks and gave it a shot.

Certainly interesting and fun storytelling with a lot of Hunger Games thrown in. Nothing like a bunch of teenagers trying to kill each other on a deserted island to keep me entertained for two hours.

Not too much of a point, but if you are just looking for amusing entertainment, you can certainly do a lot worse than this.

A suspenseful thriller from American author Harlan Coben, released a few years ago but this is a good Ôstand aloneÕ story that will introduce you to the dark world of gritty crime that he writes so well.
The central character, Paul Copeland, is the County Prosecutor of Essex, New Jersey. Twenty years ago his sister, and three other teenagers, disappeared from a summer camp and now ÔCopeÕ finds himself embroiled in a case that may provide some answers to their disappearance. A great thriller with plenty of interesting characters and plot twists.

The way Laura incorporates comedy with Izzys dialog to get through uncomfortable moments is so on point. It's hilarious and real while tackling real issues that today's teens have to deal with while trying to grow up and find themselves and their place in the world. In this book Izzy really comes into her own and finds that space while rallying to help others also be able to be teenagers doing stupid things because we all have. It was a good conclusion with an open ending for Izzy.

"With Depeche Mode, the sounds intrigued me, but I never really cared about the band. I loved those records, and I collected them, and pretty much had every Depeche Mode studio record, but I never saw them live and I never wanted to marry Martin Gore. That was my next-door neighbour. She had Martin Gore, and I had Robert Smith. As alternative teenagers, we had to pick our alliances carefully. I liked Depeche Mode, but I loved the Cure. That was a very important distinction for me."

In a world without disease, without hunger and without death Scythes are the only ones who are able and granted to keep the population under control.
Two teenagers become a scythe's apprentice and neither if them want the job, but a situation comes about where one of them will die if they don't win against the other.
I really enjoyed this dystopian fiction. The concept was brilliant. The character development subtle yet effective. I was engrossed every step of the way. I cannot wait to read the next installment!

Awesome book. Well written with a great plot and characters. The world building is phenomenal! Lorna Reid is also creative making up a new sport called Aquattrox. We follow 4 teenagers who learn that their parents are warriors that can wield magic. Which in turn thrusts these 4 teens into coping with this info plus starting to dabble in magic themselves. I like what the book is hinting at where it may go, and I can't wait to read the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Netgalley.

I’ll readily admit that I did not finish reading this book, and that is saying a lot coming from someone who will usually finish a book, even if I don’t really enjoy it.

I got about a hundred pages into this before I was so fed up with the characters that I just could not continue. These teenagers were so whiny and over dramatic that the6 made me appreciate the real-life preteens that I teach.

You’ll find far less melodrama in an actual classroom than in these pages. I imagine only actual high school students could stomach reading these caricatures of themselves.

Campy 80s goodness
I love movies like this in my basement alone the Saturday night before Halloween!

When a bunch of teenagers start coming up missing, the authorities are baffled. Who could be responsible? It couldn't be the mysterious Virginia could it?

The death scenes are kind of what an 80s version of a Final Destination film would look like I think. The main star is Melissa Sue Anderson who must have wanted to break stereotype while filing Little House on the Prairie s she played the bad girl this time.

Thoroughly enjoyable film.

This is a typical american teen flick where a girl as a crush and hasn't kissed a boy before. Trouble is there is lots of errors such as drinking is not legal in the US until they are 21 and they are obviously teenagers but lots of alcohol fuelled parties. The boy is question was supposed to be several years older than the girl and yet they were in the same class at school and your mother was ill in hospital for several years and yet she had a younger brother. Some hunks for teenage girls to ogle over.
