"Fred Hersch is a hugely respected jazz pianist who was diagnosed HIV-positive in the 80s. He didn't talk about it publicly until the 90s. Then in 2008, he got very ill, and fell into a coma, which he stayed in for two months. When he came round he'd lost all his muscle memory, which is obviously devastating when you're a jazz pianist. So he had to learn to play again. This record was only made three years later, unbelievably.

I find this album very emotional. It's partly the music, which is very beautiful, but it's partly about what he went through. Having had a heavy hospital experience myself, I know how that can affect you. I managed to get a contact for Fred after he made this, and I wrote to him to tell him how much it had moved me. We wrote to each other for a while after that, which was really special."

Watched last night on blu ray and in colour and loved everything about from the script the setting a prison the doctor played by Jon pertwee in his element now into his second season as the doctor. But let's not forget to mention the villain of the story the main villain of the entire season the master as played by rodger delgardo most doctor who fans will tell he was the first and probably the best master of all time he gives the role gravitas he can be both charming and then totally evil at the same time its shame he died in tragic car accident while on filming abroad . anyway still good story some nice action scenes near the end Katy manning is brilliant as jo grant in only her second story let's not forget unit always realied on to come to the rescue. Wont mention the dodgy looking dragon at the end of episode 2

This book really grew on me. I wasn't sure at the beginning but I read it non-stop in bed until I got to the 65% mark around midnight last night and my eyes were burning. I had to stop since I had work but I picked it up again this morning and had another marathon reading session and have just finished it and I really liked it!

I fell in love with Garrett from pretty early on. It was just the way he went about getting Hannah to agree to tutor him and then how it all went from there... *sigh* He was pretty amazing by the end of the book.

Hannah was pretty cool, too, once she gave in and became friends with Garrett and then became more. How she trusted him enough to tell him her secret

I just really liked it.

P.S. I really have to start watching my Breaking Bad box-sets!

I liked this, though I thought it was a little too long.

Rule was cool, he's a tattooed, pierced bad boy who slept around with anyone who was up for it at the start and in a way, I didn't like it. Then we met Shaw and I liked her influence on him. They may be polar opposites but they compliment each other quite nicely.

All the main characters were pretty amazing; Nash, Rome, Jet, Ayden, Cora, Rowdy...if I missed anyone I'm sorry! They were a fun bunch and I liked their interaction, teasing and flirting with each other.

I'm kinda sad that I missed "meeting" Remy, he seemed like he was a great person; friend and brother, and I understand why he didn't tell anyone his secret, though I kinda figured it out by about half way through.

A nice start to the series and I look forward to reading Jet, Rome and Nash's stories too.
