this book is a fab ending to the set, this book brings together all the emotions from the first to books and answers all the questions. This book has the same amazing characters. You will definitely need to read the other two books to appreciate this book. This is definitely a hot and steamy read to warm you up on these dark and cold nights. I loved this series on a whole and would definitely read them again. I cant wait for more from this amazing author in the future.

Highly recommended

Beautiful lesson
A beautifully done addition to the Toy Story saga.
You always worry when they dig up old property to make a new film. Will they do it justice? Will they be true to the original? Is there really a need for another movie? Toy Story answers all these questions with a resounding YES! The original toys, along with some new additions, are brought back for a new adventure that hits all the notes that you love about the series. The laughs are there, as are the tears. A beautiful new chapter is added to the toys' saga as is the beautiful underlying lessons and morals of the story. Truly well done.

I love all of these movies, some more than others, but I love the interplay between them and I don't mind leaving some of the movies with more questions than answers. But I don't like leaving the movie feeling down. Obviously things will change for the gang in a future movie and we aren't going to end the series with all of those heroes turned to dust. I wouldn't even have minded an ending with impending doom ... but one filled with loss and no teaser of something better was really disappointing.

The Long Earth saga - and Terry Pratchett's prolific output - come to an end with this fifth volume of the series.

From the intelligent beginning I found the series to gradually slip downhill to the extent that The Long Utopia garnered a mere two star review from me. So it was with mixed feelings that I started to read this. However this was very much a suitable and capable ending of the series, providing some answers but allowing enough freedom at the end for the characters to keep living on in the mind of the reader.

It is not perfect; I found the start rather drawn out with some of the characters showing up seemingly just to provide a valedictory cameo. Some of the writing joining the plot sections together - obviously done by Baxter following Pratchett's death - feels quite forced as well, but really under the circumstances this is to be expected. This must have been such a hard book for Baxter to complete on his own.

However it gets far more right; we get some good new ideas in the Long Earth (the big trees, for example, providing a desperate chase while also being fun and also a neat extension of biological evolution) and even The Next have something to do that justifies their rather 'stuck-on' plot strand that previously wasn't going anywhere.

Great characters abound as well; Joshua is front and centre as would be expected but the supporting cast works well. The adventure through the Long Cosmos is humbling and awe-inspiring, although I could have done without the 'search for grandson' excuse for doing it - surely Joshua and Lobsang would have done this anyway simply because it is there?

Overall a good ending to the series and even if you lost faith with the series as it went on, I would definitely give it a go.

Red herrings to keep us guessing
And so the plot thickens...
The story centres around the main character Tom, who is trying to keep his family together after the death of his wife, whilst starting a new relationship with Sophie. Tom is desperately trying to find his daughter, who has gone missing from the same party where her boyfriend turns up dead.

This is a who did it series, where we are left till the very last episode to find out where Jenny (the missing daughter) is (and with whom), and also who murdered her boyfriend, as well as the reasons behind this. As much as the plot unravels in the first part of the series, we are delighted to watch as lose ends are tied up in a complex thread towards the end. As viewers we are left with the bigger picture during the last episode, where we can see just how clever the writing of this series have been at masking such a huge chain of events.

The plot is quite complex, and certainly not one that you can leave to make a cup of tea without pausing. The clues come thick and fast throughout the whole series, some have cleverly been placed as red herrings, to stop us realising the answers too soon. I am usually know for picking murderers from stories very early on in the plot, however if I were to bet on this one, I would be totally missing the mark- I was genuinely shock when the murder was revealed.

There are a lot of characters in the series, although they are subtly introduced, so they were not too overwhelming. The characters were superbly cast, being both well acted and believable. Michael C. Hall, who played Tom was exceptional in his acting, showing a complete range of emotions throughout. There were also a few smaller sub-stories within the main plot, which helped enrich the series further.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the series, it was one I binged on over two days and kept me guessing throughout.

It’s not something that I would normally go for when picking a series. I’m glad I watched it though! It was really good.

Kim Sawyer is one talented author. If you have not read one of her books you should. Her series "The Zimmerman Restoration" has a wonderful ending. You can check out my reviews to "When Mercy Rains" and "When Grace Sings".

Well, "When Love Returns" starts out a little tension with Suzanne and Alexa. They are celebrating Christmas with all the family. Alexa wants to find her birth mother. When Alexa tells her mom Suzanne. Suzanne is a little unsure and startled by her daughter. Suzanne learns that she will be with Anna Grace for two months. It starts with the unsealing all reasons and the secret that only started it all.

Throughout the book, Suzanne Turns to Paul to talk about Anna Grace and Alexa. What will happen with Suzanne and Paul? I believe it will come full circle. Paul starts wanting to talk to Suzanne and talk about his son Danny. Will the members of the fellowship allow Suzanne back in? To find out all these answers and Alexa answers to her questions, you will need to read "When Love Returns'?

I enjoyed this book as we got to see more of Lucy and Tennyson and the growing connection between them.

I also enjoyed that some of the answers about Lucy were answered, as she possibly begins to get powers of her own, but what will they be??

I am still enjoying this series as a lighthearted teen book. We are also getting to see more of some of the other characters which is good as I particularly like Nikolai and Althea.

I still find it annoying that the main story is slow to progress, but will carry on with it as I am enjoying it.

I think Tad Williams did a disservice to the characters by making this into a trilogy and not a longer series. He leaves a few loose threads that could be made into another book or two. While the ending is good it is a little too open ended to be great. I have too many questions that have no answers. and while they could be answered in short stories, Bobby (in my opinion) deserves more. Still worth the read.

Having to pick himself up in the aftermath of what happened after his trip to Hell. Bobby finds that his allies and even acquaintances are leaving him high and dry. Even his Somewhat Best Friend Sam is ghosting him.
Bobby has to navigate his suspicion of superiors in Heaven, Neo-Nazis, and Nightmare Children, or he may lose more than his halo.

One of the best books that I have ever read!!!

If you are not an avid reader the size of this book might dissuade you from even cracking it open, but don’t let it. Acheron is part of The Dark Hunter Series. If you’ve read any of the other books in this series and had questions, this one answers them all. Tears, laughter, hate, anger, shock, love, and more tears. You will be familiar with all of these and much more. Unfortunately, I had to put the book down, even I couldn’t finish it in one sitting...

Acheron’s tale is one that you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. His story goes all the way back to his beginning. It tells of a mothers love and hate. A brothers love and hate. Gods and Goddesses, love and hate, lust, dominance, forgiveness, sorrow, all rolled into one book.
