Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated The Year of Falling in Love (Sunnyvale, #2) in Books

Ooh, this series! It intrigues and annoys me in equal measures. You're just getting to an intriguing part and it ends! I bet it was her, you know!
I am still very much Team Kai and hope we get some answers in the third book in the series

Probably the best book in the series so far.
While this series' books aren't bad reading i better get some g--damn answers soon. I don't like being strung along, thank you very much.
I don't trust Shepard. I'm to believe _______ is the killer? Excuse me if i skip the rest of the books and read the wiki for verification.

A great ending to a great series. More to come soon...
I really enjoyed the ending to this book. I wish I could get what happens after all of this though! The mystery of it was in a good balance to the answers we are given, the plot moved quickly, and it didn't drag on for unnecessary lengths. The characters, as always, were well developed and their relationships were fun to witness. I highly recommend this series.

This is the third book in the series.
The book is very good, it answers some questions but definitely poses a lot more. It is possible to start to see some of the direction the series may take and who the key players are. Also to begin to make your own predictions and hopes.
It is good to see Talia and Erik continue to grow as people and their relationship evolving. They are both having to face the real world and the decisions they are making. They are also questioning what they are doing and why. The naivety of the previous books is gone.
I have really enjoyed this series and recommend it if you enjoy dystopia.

Actually should have been 4.5 stars! I really love this series! I am half-way through the second book (realized I forgot the review...oops!)...
This one take you on a ride! I had a few hair-pulling moments, wanting answers before the author was ready to give them...thinking I had it figued out and then oh no...I love books I can't figure out half-way through!
All-in-all though...it's great! Read it! Have the rest of the series handy though...you will not be able to wait for book 2!

EmersonRose (320 KP) rated Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) in Books
Nov 20, 2019
On my journey to read more science fiction books I stumbled upon this one. The story itself was interesting and had some cool twists to it that I was not expecting. It was definitely one of those stories where I kept guessing at the answers to the mystery as I was slowly fed more and more information about the situation. It was a fun read but I don’t know if I am intrigued enough by the characters to keep reading this series.
