Rolling Stone's 10th greatest album of all time
Superb, I think this double album really shows the Beatles at their best. From Back in the USSR to Blackbird, they wrote in such a variety of styles and tempos but always with a superb song as the result. A wonderful listen.

This is a sweet little book, poignant and moving. Inspired by the Beatles song Eleanor Rigby we are given a further glimpse into the realms of loneliness and how it exists on our doorsteps. Father McKenzie the main protagonist shows us how profoundly lives can be touched by a simple listening ear.

Funny cameo by Ed Sheeran

As a big fan of the Beatles I was looking forward to watching this movie. Unfortunately after watching it I was left feeling disappointed. The first half was very good with a lot of funny moments such as Jack finding out what else has changed in the world and the cameo from Ed Sheeran. However what started out as a promising film quickly becomes a predictable rom-com. The best part of this film was the music which includes a lot of the Beatles greatest hits as Jack tries to recreate them himself. Overall I thought this was a fairly standard rom-com that was made better by having a lot of great music.

"Again, it's all about the outsider and making the ugly beautiful, which John Waters is very well placed to deal with. It's also about a very particular place, which is Baltimore, and about a particular pop culture moment: the early sixties, just before The Beatles hit, which is a forgotten time and much more interesting than everybody thinks. People often go with that Nik Cohn line that there's nothing interesting before The Beatles, which is absolute bullshit: I love all those songs like 'The Bug' and 'The Madison'. It's got Debbie Harry in it and it's got Divine of course, who's as wonderful as ever. What's not to like? It has a lot of charm and is fascinating on a number of levels."

I have this album on original press and boy oh boy this will always be a classic in everyone hearts. This album is timeless and one of the best. No other band has moved and grooved so much with the times, really proving why The Beatles truly are and always will be the biggest band ever.
