Meg’s Latest Case is Not a Turkey
The new home renovation TV show Marvelous Mansions has come to town and made a less than stellar impression. Meg, in her job as special envoy to the mayor, is on her way to try to keep everyone happy when she discovers the neighborhood has a new problem – feral turkeys. Naturally, Meg gets involved in trying to round them up, while Chief Burke works on trying to figure out who put them there. Then Meg stumbles on a dead body. Are the two events connected?
Those familiar with the series will be delighted with the latest entry. Yes, the antics with the turkey keep the mystery in the background for a while, but I was having so much fun I didn’t much care. It helped that I was laughing at what was happening. When Meg finds the body, the mystery does pick up and lead us through some great twists to a logical climax. The characters are their normal charming selves, and the new characters fit right into the series. If you haven’t met the characters yet, these books standalone well enough that you can jump in here. And if you are a longtime fan, you’ll be happy with the latest release.

When thirteen-year-old Savannah Hopkins doesnt come straight home from school, as she always does, her mother Jane immediately raises the alarm.
Leading the investigation is Detective Natalie Ward whose daughter Leigh is the same age as Savannah. Soon Natalies worst fears are confirmed when the teenagers broken body is found in nearby shrubland.
Evidence points towards a local recluse, but just as the net is closing around him, one of Savannahs friends, Harriet, is reported missing.
As Natalie delves into the lives of both girls, she soon discovers a sinister video on their phones, daring the girls to disappear from their families for 48 hours.
But Natalie isnt quick enough for this killer, and she is devastated to find Harriets body on a fly tip a day later.
Caught up in the case, she takes her eye off her own daughter and when Leigh goes missing after school she knows she must be in terrible danger. The clock is ticking for Natalie. Can she catch this killer before her little girl becomes the next victim?

The Dare opens with the disappearance of thirteen year-old Savannah Hopkins. She recently moved to this new town with her mother Jane. Savannah simply doesnt return home after school one day. The next day her body is found, and the thriller is off and running. Other seemingly random teen-aged girls disappear after Savannah. Detective Ward and her team is frustratingly one step behind the killer as the body count increases. But its certainly not for lack of trying on their part.
The plot, as always, was plausible, as we dont always know what our children are doing when not at home. We dont know what they are doing on their mobile devices, or who their friends are. It is a scary time for parents. Carol Wyer incorporated those fears into this book, and she did a great job!
I liked the additional perspective of the killer occasionally being thrown in. Definitely made it interesting to know his thoughts.
I highly recommend this book, I can't wait for book 4..

Good SFX for the budget
A great Upgrade
I saw this the other night after seeing good reviews for it. I'm not sure if it got a cinema release in the UK? It's a great Australian made film. A bit like a sci-fi Deathwish mixing humans with advanced Ai technology and body enhancements. The technology shown in the film, set in the near future, is really good and not far from what is available. This made the film more interesting. Throw in some good action and SFX and you have a great film that went under the radar.

It's the beginning of summer, and things are hoping in Pickax County. They are breaking ground for a new bookstore and the town of Brrr is celebrating 200 years. Oh yeah, and a body is found on Qwill's property. But since none of the characters seem to care about that, the mystery kind of whimpers along. If you love the characters, you'll enjoy the book, but there's hardly any plot. Par for the course for the later books of the series.

Pet sematary- is a good adaption of the novel by stephen king.
Doctor Louis Creed moves his family to Maine, where he meets a friendly local named Jud Crandall. After the Creeds' cat is accidentally killed, Crandall advises Louis to bury it in the ground near the old pet cemetery. The cat returns to life, its personality changed for the worse. When Louis' son, Gage, dies tragically, Louis decides to bury the boy's body in the same ground despite the warnings of Crandall and Louis' visions of a deceased patient.
Its haunted, terrorfying, scary and overall good.

Maggie Crozat has been pressed into service as maid of honor is her co-worker Vanessa’s wedding. As if dealing with the very pregnant bridezilla isn’t enough, she is also playing host to Vanessa’s cousin Ginger. At first, Ginger seems nice, but soon she is driving everyone crazy. Which means that when Maggie finds Ginger’s dead body, the list of potential suspects is very long. With finding a killer added to her maid of honor duties, can Maggie successfully juggle everything?
I completely enjoyed getting to revisit these characters. They are tons of fun, and the character growth we see in some of them is truly amazing. The plot is strong with lots of motives and secrets to keep us guessing until the logical conclusion. This is a strong second entry.
