Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2560 KP) rated Murder Past Due (Cat in the Stacks, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
This series debut had lots of twists to the plot, even in the first 100 pages. The characters were real and fresh right out of the gate as well. I truly felt for them. I can't wait to visit them with the next book in the series.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2560 KP) rated Double Fudge Brownie Murder (Hannah Swensen, #18) in Books

While it is always fun to check in with these characters, I do enjoy a good mystery. Sadly, the mystery took a back seat to other things happening. Too many scenes were devoted to cooking. On the other hand, there is significant progress on the love triangle. And really, I do love these characters.

Erika Kehlet (21 KP) rated Blue Labyrinth (Pendergast, #14) in Books
Feb 21, 2018
I love revisiting old friends and old places in this series, and the New York Museum of Natural History is by far my favorite place in Pendergasts New York. Blue Labyrinth opens with a dead body in the museum, and Margo Green called in to assist with the police investigation. Full of danger and Pendergast family drama, this installment moves along at an incredible pace, and is a great addition to the series.

Maybe A will hook up with Gossip Girl and they'll take on corrupt politicians?
***STOP! HERE THERE BE SPOILERS***
Now, that I've read the book. Am I the only one that kinda thinks with all the A shenanigans, the girls would never, ever keep a secret as long as they lived?
Seriously, some chick who looks like Ali (sort of) shows up in Jamaica and NONE of them think to send a pic in anonymously to a tabloid site? The conspiracy theorists are legion and somebody would have dug up something on Tabitha.
Also, it took a freaking year for the body to wash up? I find that pretty suspicious.
Poor Hanna. She's always been my favorite.
