With this, I was a little confused at the beginning. It all seemed a little haywire with the added viewpoint of Gray in the first couple of pages, without actually knowing who he was. I found it confusing anyway, up until they merged into Caleb's body. After that I was interested to see what would happen throughout the rest of the story.
I liked John. He seemed like a really great guy.
The hunt for Caleb's brothers murderer was quite fun reading with Gray being able to scent the demon behind it.
One thing that bothered me was the lack of romance until the last chapter and a half. Okay, they both kept getting turned on when they looked at the other but it was all secretive, not wanting the other to know.
Don't think I will be continuing the series.

I thought this book sounded good, so I was looking forward to reading it. The initial set up was good, and I was getting cozy vibes from the characters and the setting. Sadly, that didn’t continue as the book progressed. I did like Greta’s arc, but the rest of the characters stayed pretty flat. The mystery did have some surprises, but I had things figured out very early. It’s not that the book is bad, but it’s not good either. This is one to pick up only is something in particular about the premise appeals to you.

I loved this mystery set in space. It took me a little while to fully feel comfortable in Sylvia’s world, but that was a minor complaint. The mystery starts quickly and the pace is steady until the end. The characters we got to know were strong, and I can’t wait to see them again. The setting really was creative and well done.
