Beautiful love story! (1 more)
Belle is beauty and brains!
Be my guest, put my writing to the test! As usual the originals are so much better, this story is the perfect representation of beauty is found within. This movie put me in all my feels, from crying to joy and even admiration! There will never be a day where I would pass on watching this movie this has been one of my most favorites since I was little! Still it ever fails to entertain!

Sarah (7800 KP) rated X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) in Movies

One of the best X-Men films
The X-Men have always been some of my favourite superheroes, and I loved the original 2 films (and I refuse to mention The Last Stand). Whilst First Class was a nice introduction to the younger versions of the X-Men, it wasnt great. X-Men really needed this next film to be something special, and for me it really is.
Bryan Singer really knows how to work his magic when it comes to the X-Men films and you can tell. He did it with the originals and he did it with this too. The idea to work a plot involving the original X-Men and the younger versions is a genius idea and gives us the best of both worlds. Admittedly I do wish they'd shown us more of the originals, but I dont think my heart could take much seeing them get picked off by the Sentinels.
Putting Wolverine into this works really well and new addition Quicksilver gets possibly the best scene of the entire film. And we've also got Magneto being his usual sneaky self with some great scenes of him really using his powers. Don't get me wrong the actual minute details in the plot are a little bit ridiculous and farfetched but this can be ignored for the most part as it's just an all round enjoyable film. Just a shame it's the last decent X-Men film that they've made.

It's a Star Wars story

Really Enjoyable
I love Star Wars even though I'm not a huge Sci-fi fan and I wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't sure either if anyone else could play Han Solo... To say I was happy with it would be an understatement - I thought it was brilliant. There was the perfect amount of action mixed with humor, the portrayal of Solo was spot on and could easily been a young Harrison Ford with the mannerisms and speach.
For me it added to the Han Solo character, how he came to be the person we knew and loved from the originals.

Truly faithful to the originals
Nostalgia at its Finest
I love spyro. I have loved spyro since I was old enough to be able to play the first game. When I heard it was getting a remaster, I probably made actual sounds of joy. And I'm really pleased that the remake does remain faithful to the original in a way that is fun to play and plucks all the good nostalgia heart strings. The short version of the review is to go and get the game, especially if you've played the originals.
However, there's a few niggles I have. Hunter's new voice is irritating and not how i think of the character at all. Sometimes the camera has an absolute mind if it's own and refuses to remain to behave in a way that makes any sense and...
The glitches.
They're especially prevalent in Spyro 3 and within that, the skateboard races. The final race against the yetis took me upwards of an hour to beat simply because of how glitchy and broken so many of the mechanics that it needed to function were incredibly broken. Several of the trophies were also so persistently not triggering that at one point I had to put the controller down and walk away.
And I hate that they've tainted the game enough that i don't want to replay the third one again.
But yes, all in all, I love spyro, I love the games and I enjoyed my time with the remake.
