Owen lives in the world of his favorite books – at least in his mind. But when he meets Bethany emerging from a book, he realizes he might be able to do that for real. Despite Bethany’s strict rules, Owen tricks her into going and changing the outcome of the sixth Kiel Gnomefoot book. However, the consequences are more than he bargained for. Will he and Bethany be able to return things to the way they should be?

Having dreamed of jumping into books myself, I loved the premise of this book even before I read it. It delivered on the promise in spades. I wasn’t super impressed with the Kiel Gnomefoot story within the story, but that was a minor complaint. The plot overall was very engrossing and the characters were fun. I can’t wait to see what happens to Owen and Bethany next.

Disappointing
Whilst the trailer for this didn't wow me, it made me think this film had enough promise to warrant watching. However the end result was rather disappointing.

Cast wise this wasn't bad. Sam Claflin, Eleanor Tomlinson and Olivia Munn are always watchable, although i really can't stand Aisling Bea. The setting and scenery in this are absolutely beautiful, but then you can't really go wrong with Rome. The main problem with this film is the premise of the concept doesn't meet expectations, and the whole thing just isn't particularly funny. It sounds like it should be something similar to Groundhog Day or Edge of Tomorrow, but without spoiling it, it's a bit of letdown. And the laughs are sadly lacking. There are few smart witty quips that raised a smile, but not the full on romcom the trailer promised. Even the romance was rather dull and predictable.

Not one I'd bother to watch again and almost instantly forgettable. There are much better romcoms out there.

You would think that a film about massive monsters battling out wouldn't be boring... but it was. My friend had warned me, but I thought maybe she was being too hard on the film. These Godzilla/Kong movies are normally big, dumb fun. This one? Snore.
The monster fights were the best parts, seriously, cut all the humans and I would have actually enjoyed it. I want to know where these scientists get their degrees, because they are all dumb af. There wasn't even someone attractive to keep me engaged, my chicken tendies and the promise of the big monster fight at the end were basically the reason I stayed.

I imagine I'll forget this film by tomorrow, much like I did the other two Godzilla films. At least the previous Kong film had Tom Hiddleston in the tight blue t-shirt to keep things interesting.

Just go re-watch Pacific Rim.

I've given it three stars because I wanted this to be a happier story, I wanted Sophie to end up happy, and I guess in a way she was but I love romances in books and this one wasn't exactly all roses and light.

I was in turmoil for a lot of this. How everyone treated her and why was just so unfair but she'd made a promise to him and got a lot of shit for it. She never broke it though, despite the heartache it caused. Poor Sophie.

*SEASON 1* An incredible piece of TV.This has the lot, beautiful photography,a mind bending storyline and some amazing atmospheric music.

Set in a small German town with a child has gone missing you think that this is just going to be another mystery or drama show that deals with said child I promise you it's not. There are other weird things going on in this town and nearly every person in it has a secret or something to hide.

This show is something special.Looking forward to starting season 2 ASAP.

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book. I'm sorry I really am,I really REALLY wanted to like it and I could lie and tell you I did but I really didn't and I was always told honesty is the best policy (but please don't hate me,I'm a fragile soul) I had heard amazing things about this book but for me it fell flat. It made me cringe which is half the reason why I just didn't enjoy it. It wasn't for me that is all,but I promise there are so many people out there that adore this book unfortunately I just wasn't one of them.

Changed and made up other things that were never in the book, Matthew is not as warm and likable as Richard Farnsworth is in the 1985 Sullivan films versin (0 more)
I couldn't make it through this whole series yes I know I am partial to the Megan follows as Anne version but was open to this new one even thought the title showed promise. I watched trying to keep an open mind but the more I watched the more upset I got. I am not only a fan of the movie version but I am a fan of the books! Too much was changed and it seemed to lag. Most of the characters were not likable or interesting to me except the lady playing marilla. I don t know if it was the girl playing Anne or the dialogue That was bad. Some may like this but I recommend the books or the 1985 movie

Conor Grennan is an American traveling the world for one year. One of his planned stops on his journey is at Little Princes orphanage in Nepal. After this 3 months stay at the orphanage, he promises the children that he would return in one years time. Hardly did volunteers return to the orphanage, after they left. Conor was abe to keep his promise and after his return he set out on a true journey...to find the families of the children at Little Princes and other orphanages in the area. He set up a foundation in order to fund this necessary endeavor. Many of the children had been taken from their homes by child traffickers with the promise to provide a better life for the children Many of these parents had no idea where their children were and just as many children thought their parents were dead. Conor ended up staying in Nepal for the next three years helping reconnect Nepal's lost children with their families.

Many times when we do volunteer work whether it is within our own country or abroad, we go into it thinking how much good we are going to do for someone else. What really is the case is that the volunteer is the one who ends up benefiting the most. Hearts and minds are forever changed. We implore our friends and family to help with the cause we are involved in and pray that we are making a difference. I have never met anyone who has not had their lives impacted by volunteer work.

Conor is no exception. He has made friends with these children, learned something new about a different culture and has taught us all something new with this book. Little Princes, has touched my heart and I'm eager to know how the children of Nepal are doing now after all of the help that Conor has brought to the region. I’ve always been a fan of the literary classics, especially ones that also have an underline meaning to do with the history of the world. George Orwell has always been a favorite of mine, I mean I have a lot of favorites but a true reader usually does! The reason why I finally picked up this book was for a job assignment. I will definitely say, I wasn’t disappointed.

Genre: Classic, Fantasy, Fiction, Science-Fiction, Literature, Dystopia

Audience: High School

Reading level: Advanced Fluent

Interests: Classics, Dystopia, Science-Fiction

Style: Advanced Fluent

Point of view: Third Person

Difficulty reading: It was only difficult in the spots that were lacking plot.

Promise: Promise of history related read, it delivers

Quality: Good.

Insights: Animal Farm is a very well-written book and if you like a history-related book along with any literary classic books, you’ll love this book! I, myself, have never really been a huge history buff so to me Animal Farm was lacking an interesting plot. If I broke the book down into two sections, there would be half of the book as interesting and half being monotonous.

Ah-Ha Moment: When the animals overtook the farm and the pigs started to act like the humans.

Favorite quote: “Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bare minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself.” – I really like this because it’s a great representation of humans and earth. How we lack with caring for the planet we live on and that isn’t right.

Aesthetics: The copy that I received had an awesome cartoony cover of the animals which I found quite adorable.

“Four legs good, two legs bad.”
