Miriam is struggling to make amends with her father and also with Timothy. She finds out that her sister made lies for she was jealous of her older sister Miriam. Her father and the rest of the community blame her for the death of a child that died of SIDS.
She arrives home for the funeral of her mother's death. Her father makes it clear she not welcome. She hears that her past boyfriend has moved on and is marrying another girl. Does Miriam find the peace is seeking and get her love of her future? find out by reading. I recommend this book. Though I suggest that your read the earlier books first for this book refer to them a bit. "A Gift of Grace", "A Promise of Hope" are the two book before this book.

Jun 16, 2018 (Updated Jun 16, 2018)
First half is a horribly intense and rather oppressive study of grief and emotional dysfunction; not actually what you'd call scary, though. Second half is a much more traditional horror movie with spooky seances, severed heads a go go, waking nightmares, embroidered doormats and many other clichés - but still not actually what you'd call scary in any but the most superficial way. Plot is all over the place; all the bits that will make you jump are in the trailer, pretty much. Very possibly worth watching for a brilliant performance by Toni Collette, but this is the equivalent of a really good stereo in a car with a cruddy engine. The movie is atmospheric and the director shows promise, but if this is what counts as a great horror movie nowadays the genre is in serious trouble.

One man will break me. One will lead me to sin. And one will kill me to save me.
The sirens have been hunted for so long that we no longer remember our pasts...
Our songs have been stolen, the source of all our power, and it's been made punishable by death to use it. They've taken everything from us.
The vampires.
I've been sent to the darkest of all places, Nightmare Penitentiary, for my disobedience to my masters. But I've promised myself that I’ll be free someday.. no matter the cost. I'll do whatever it takes to regain my power, even if I end up shattering the hearts of three captivating men who have the power to change my future forever.
It started of a bit dodgy I wasn’t sure I’d continue but I game it the benefit of doubt. It was ok I feel like something was missing which is a shame as it showed promise! Hopefully the series will get better.
