Great crew new and old

Fits in with the other films
Star Wars!
Love the Star Wars films! The flawless mix of the old universe with the new technology was cunning edge material, bringing back old friends, characters, and props back where they belong. The Rogue One crew was Amazing. Glad they explained everyone's background story in the beginning. The build up to the final fight scene on Scarif was perfection. The final fight scene itself, well cmon did you really think you'd be let down? Almost wished that the fight scenes were a little more brutal but considering the company is owned by Disney the move to keep it kid friendly while still giving the older more mature audience a show is respected.

Seeing Kirk and Picard in the same scene, even doing menial things, is still amusing (3 more)
Some interesting themes of time
The TNG crew is as likable as ever
Dennis McCarthy's subtle score is solid
The Nexus is a confusing plot device (1 more)
Feels too much like a TNG 2 parter
A bit too tvish perhaps, but not as bad as it's made out
While it does have flaws I do think Generations is better than it's regarded. The Nexus certainly creates a lot of plot holes and there's nothing this could have done that an episode of the show couldn't, but as someone who loves the show and TNG crew I find it enjoyable enough.

The fourth book in The Lost Fleet spinoff Beyond The Frontier series, that picks up from the previous in starting with 'Black Jack' Geary on planet Earth. It's not long, however, before they are back in space when two of his crew are kidnapped, with the kidnappers then landing on the most feared planet in the universe(s), leaving Geary having to make a decision about what to do.

If I'm honest, and having read the blurb: I thought that that portion of the story would have taken much longer than it did: it only took place in the early part of the novel, before Geary and his crew were back in Alliance space, and before it was back to the usual Alliance/Syndicates plot.

Also have to say: read the earlier books first! :-)

Star Trek: the animated series is also known as season 4 of the original series. Kirk, Spock and the rest of the original cast return for one more run of 22 episodes. The are joined by new, alien crew members and tangle with Klingon's, Romulan's, Tribbles and Harry Mudd as well as a whole host of new races and beings.
Being animated means the aliens can look less human and the crew find themselves in more bizarre adventures.
The animated series has the same tone as the original series and the stories, although shorter have a very similar feeling. There are a few stories that seem to have influential later episodes from other series, including the first holo-deck story although here it's just known as the rec room.
