This book was a monster to get through. It took me a couple of months. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. There were a couple of moments where it was gross or disturbing. I don't think it was particularly terrifying, I can't say it was throw or hide the book across the room scary. I felt a couple of deaths were unsatisfying. But, overall it was a good book and I'm glad I read it.

Almost perfect!
I absolutely love this thing, I just wish it had a camera for video calls!
My only other issue is that sometimes, if there is a little background noise in the room, it can't hear what you're saying!
The fact that it has access to YouTube music is awesome and makes for a good old party atmosphere when my daughter has her friends round!!

Lila Soto's life isn't what she imagined it would be, but it isn't really the opposite of that, either. In fact, Lila isn't doing so badly, overall. However, that doesn't mean that there can't be room for improvement. She just has to figure out how to fix things without blowing her husband's cover along the way. Bird (1704 KP) rated Taboo - Season 1 in TV
Apr 27, 2017
Pre-Victorian London has never looked so beautifully squalid! (4 more)
Tom Hardy unsurprisingly excels in the powerful lead role of a violent low-lifer
Genuinely fascinating insight into the broad history of the time
Strong performances all-round
An almost monochrome visual that transforms you to a dark place you're glad you can leave at the end of each episode!
A bit of a slow burner - you don't mind leaving the room for a few minutes knowing you probably wont miss that much (1 more)
A few (undeliberate?) loose ends, but maybe saved for Season 2?
