I liked that we heard from everyone!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, i was gifted my copy of this book.

When Lydia is found dead in a locked room, Ellen becomes the prime suspect. Lydia is, after all, her husband's mistress. Sir Hugh is sent to investigate. He might be the only one to save her from the hangman's noose.

For the most part, I really did enjoy this. It's a step out my comfort zone, and I do like to step out from time to time. This one, though, was a tad too far. Let me tell you why.

There are hints, and clues along the way as to whodunnit. many clues. MANY MANY hints. So many, that I started to get mighty confused with it all and I could not see the bigger picture, nor who might have committed this crime. I'm still not 100% certain who actually did it, or why! It doe tell you, in the book, but I was so flummoxed by it all, I lost the plot, literally.

What I did like, though, was got to hear from all the major parties. I liked the level of drama (murder suspect notwithstanding!)

I liked the way it was written, and how the story was delivered, apart from the overwhelming amount of things to process. And that was the ony reason I gave it . .

"A gloriously ludicrous slice of 1980s cinematic fromage. Between the infectious Queen soundtrack, eye-popping Technicolor special effects, super hot Italian space princess, outrageous production and costume design, a deranged Max von Sydow spitting eminently quotable lines, and a leading man whose principle qualification was being a Playgirl centerfold, this movie had it all. I must’ve watched it fifty times when I was a kid. It was on a near-constant loop in our living room Betamax. One of the great many things I love about being a father is sharing my beloved childhood experiences with my kids. I was so giddily excited to watch this movie with my children when they were old enough. I couldn’t wait. They turned it off halfway through. I spent the next twenty minutes trying to convince them how awesome it was. They weren’t having it. My kids have terrible taste."

I love my kindle - it's my second after I dropped and smashed my first one - I have a whole wall of books in my lounge and couldn't possibly fit another book on there so now I read on my kindle and no longer have to take over another wall for books. I like how you can download a sample of a book I'm unsure about. Some books are free, some can be borrowed then returned once read and the rest are cheaper than a standard book. I like how it tells me what % I am through the book and how much longer each chapter is so I can gauge wether I have time to get another chapter in quick! Couldn't be without it now!
