This is now the third spin-off from the parent show The Big Bang Theory, focusing now on comic-book owner Stuart Bloom (a B-character, at best, from the parent show) and his friends rather than having any real relationship to the main characters from the parent show.

It's also a change of pace: instead of the sitcom stylings of 'Young Sheldon' or 'Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage', this is intended to be more of a comedy action-adventure, as Stuart and his compatriots travel across multiple dimensions (which contain more than a few familiar faces) in an attempt to, as the title states, save the universe after a device a never-seen Leonard and Sheldon have created break the multiple universes.

The show just doesn't work.

IMO.
