A funny look at morning news, its personalities and what goes into the making of a morning show. Becky, the heroine, has been fired from Good Morning New Jersey. The only job she can get is a Daybreak, a national morning show where the ratings are so bad, they barely register anything at all. Becky, the hardest working producer in TV, goes to work. She fires and hires, finds romance. She recruits a famous news man (the third worst person in the world) to join the morning show. It is hilarious and touching - when they put the weather guy on the roller coaster, I almost spit out my drink. Watch it, its fun.

This is a big game, bigger than the first one and it is great. Aloy has grown a lot as a person and the cool thing is her friends join her for the adventure as well as new friends. The side quests are great and the main story is quite interesting with some hard sci-fi mixed with great storytelling elements. There's new machines too and it's so much fun finding them. There's photo mode in the game also which is amazing. I enjoyed just exploring everywhere. I did everything in the game and I absolutely loved it. It's very clear this is meant to be a trilogy and the story in this sequel sets up for the third game nicely. It's a fantastic game and well done.

This book was an excellent history lesson. I seriously learned things I didn't previously know about our nation during slavery. I would highly recommend the book for that reason.
It was easy to read and hard to put down, but I also found it very impersonal. There were a lot of "action sentences" and not much reflection or introspection. The book is written in third person, which may be why I found myself reading about rape and mistreatment without flinching. I also considered maybe the author was trying to show the reader that most people born into slavery during that time had become so accustom to seeing other people mistreated that they showed very little reaction. Either way, it's not a novel that will cause you to reflect on it for weeks to come, which is ultimately what I expected.

The novel is written in third person and follows Tsukuru as he does on a quest to find out why his friends alienated him years prior. The novel switches between present day, with Tsukuru trying to live a normal, happy live, and the past, which describes Tsukuru's depression and how he was able to overcome suicidal thoughts. Tsukuru has had many friends leave his life without explanation, and he has come to think of himself as "colorless", having nothing to offer anyone.
There are so many thought-provoking situations in this novel that I almost feel like I should go back and re-read it to fully understand everything that happened. I was left questioning several things from the novel, which is the reason for 4 stars. The reading, insight into the characters, etc was what kept me entertained.
