Brutally effective cry-porn, succeeds at that and nothing else but it doesn't really need to - and considering how clunky the rest of it feels it's probably for the best that it didn't try to be anything more. Enough has been said about the very justified anger this caused in romanticizing this incredibly serious disorder but imo it isn't all too much different from how ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ต ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜–๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ด also cheesily used cancer. Thorne and Riggle are terrific, Patrick Schwarzenegger gives one of the worst performance of 2018 and it's straight-up riotous to watch this guy try and emote. Has the 2014 artsy Tumblr hipster white-Christmas-lights aesthetic and everything. Mostly all I could have hoped for out of it as this stupid, overly-quirky genre of John Green clones continues to ironically swoon me.

Christmas in Key West is anything but peaceful when sabotage at a new restaurant in town leads to murder, and Hayley is right in the middle trying to figure out what is happening.

There are several sub-plots that overshadow the main mystery at times, but the book was always entertaining with characters I love. Things do come together for a logical climax. Overall, this was an entertaining book.

This book was given to me as a christmas present by my brother. When I first started reading it, it took me two attempts of the first chapter to find my flow with the style of writing. As i havent read a book with this writing style before, it's more like a play, or a collection of thoughts by various speakers.
That being said I thoroughly enjoyed it. And found it is the type of book you keep going back to for more. The story flows very well and at times Is so descriptive you feel the anguish Mr Lincoln must have been feeling at the time of losing his son.
