Imagine writing down your deepest darkest thoughts about your crush, and those thoughts get out to your crush. Well that's exactly what happens to Lara Jean, not once, not twice bit five times! You see, growing up Lara Jean wrote letters to any boy she developed a crush on and kept them hidden away for her eyes only. That is until her sister finds them and decides to mail them to the boys, the horror!
One of her ex crushes, Peter, uses this to his advantage and they both agree to pretend to date to make Peters ex girlfriend jealous. If like me, you're mad for romance films then you can pretty much guess where it goes from there. It is a feel good movie though and one that can be watched over and over again.

Hazel (2934 KP) rated The Bridge (Detective Louise Blackwell #6) in Books

What a great book! Although this is number 6 in the series, I think it can be read as a standalone quite successfully.
The story starts with the discovery of a young woman's body in a shipping container. Initial thoughts are this is a tragic case of human trafficking gone wrong but when a camera is discovered and the investigation delves deeper, the case turns into something else altogether and when more people start to go missing, Detective Blackwell and her team know they are running out of time.
Written at a good pace, with fantastic characters, a great storyline full of tension, this is a great addition to the series and I must thank the author, Amazon Publishing UK, Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of The Bridge.

Shaun Collins (3 KP) rated Doctor Who: 100 in Books

Just the opposite from my last Big Finish review, (check out www.travelingthevortex.com for more thoughts). These four short vignettes are good. (Well, the first one is merely okay, the second and fourth ones are good. The third, "Bedtime Story" is hands down one of the best audios I have EVER listened too. I don't have enough words to describe how awesome this one is.
Really great book, but BEWARE... if being inside the head of a pedophile creep is too much for you, you might want to skip some of the pages. Luckily there is a LOT more to it without the sick and twisted boy-lover's thoughts ruining the whole thing. It's something you don't get when you see the movie so it surprised me. Other than that, GREAT book!

I really liked this book. I was thoroughly pulled in by the characters and the deeper thoughts about life, time, science, and the pursuit of knowledge. I felt it was really well done and the pacing was spectacular. I was not bored during this book and it gave me some wonderful ideas in how to treat the Time Travel genre with care and fun!

Hazel (2934 KP) rated The Perfect Girlfriend [Audiobook] in Books

What a great debut novel this is! Great story, good pace and with some really good twists and with a narrator that only added to the story. Hayley Smith is definitely an author I will look out for in the future and thanks must go to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for enabling me to listen to and share my thoughts of The Perfect Girlfriend.

I enjoyed this book. Parts made me sad.. some parts mad.. and others I wanted to kiss the author and say thank you. lol So many feelings and thoughts and the writing was amazing. It made me feel like I was a part of the story and I was seeing it play out. The characters were awesome and complex. I really enjoyed this and am glad I got to review it.

Give me more Darkling
Just some rough thoughts:
Amazing writing, complex storyline but not hard to follow with deep and wonderfully developed characters. This was quickly absorbing and totally unpredictable. The description was perfectly pitched, not too heavy but I was able to paint the world easily in my mind. I listened on audio and the narration was superb.
I favour the Darkling. Does that make me dark?
