"He was clearly one of the greatest and most original thinkers. You’ll feel like you are reading brand new thoughts; it’s very funny in places, it seems effortless in its cleverness, but it isn’t showy at all. Very readable and intimate."

"The biggest takeaway from Michael is how relaxing it is for this anxious, stressed-out body to just step back and watch the feelings, watch the thoughts, watch the waves of different currents of emotions and not overly identify with them."

This book was a cute quick read. This is written all in phone calls so it doesn't go into inner thoughts and things like that. It is like your reading recordings of their calls. Very easy to go through, finished in 4 hours.

This was a very quick listen that was quite different from what I expected. Much less a biography and more of a scatter of thoughts. I still enjoyed this, but wasn't quiet what I was looking for when I picked the book up.

I'd like to make a lengthy review encompassing all my positive thoughts on this book. I wont. I won't clutter the review with words that will be meaningless to one who hasn't experienced this story.

I will sum this story up in one word.

 beautiful.

Funny and informational
I watched/listened to Episode 2 which they discuss Lars von Trier's film Antichrist, and give their thoughts and opinions of this and other extreme horror bits. Very cool and fun. You should definitely check it out.

@Sarah I thought the movie was alright, though, I'm trash for anything with Brendan Fraser. I haven't rewatched it recently, so my opinion may have changed.

I liked the idea of the story and the last quarter was very good. However, even though I thought this would be a book that would be magical, it wasn't really. I also thought that the message of 'books are magical' was put across in a very forced way. I really wanted to love this book, but was just an ok read for me.

Didn't seem to have any direction. was just someone going on about their thoughts with no real purpose

couldn't get into it and couldn't connect with author at all. even skipped to the end and that was just as dull as the beginning. ... very disappointed
