"When I was 12, I spent three weeks isolated on the island of Sardinia with my father and his young family. I found a copy of Clavell on the bookshelf in the home that we were renting and it saved me. Historical fiction became a lifelong love, and James Clavell a guide."

"This is an amazing work of art and history—a three-part graphic novel that dives deep into some of the struggle, strategy, beauty, and brutality that defined our country’s Civil Rights Movement. A vital tool for people, young and old, to learn about the past and be inspired about the future."

"New Zealand’s greatest novel and the one book that will transport me instantly home. Three disparate characters come together to form a fragile and unlikely family; their need to connect at odds with their fear of attachment. One of those books that wipes you out, no matter how many times you read it."

"Then you could cut away from films like that and say a film like Zulu, with Stanley Baker and Michael Caine. It’s just a film that, no matter where you pick it up — like the first two — you have to keep watching. I think I watch that film three times a year."

"Three Days of the Condor just seems to be one of those films that, if I’m flipping around the channels late at night and I land on that one, I just can’t shut if off — you just have to watch that whole journey with Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. It’s so good."

Book Rating
3.5 stars.

For me the first 50% of this book was very slow and rather, dare I say it, boring. It just didn't gel with me. After the 50% mark things started to happen quicker and I found myself getting really into it. Therefore, I'll give it the three and a half stars.
